To add to that, you can name each instance of EQuilibrium in the setup window, on the menu, in that black box that says EQ1 by default. If you're going to start pulling analyser curves in from other channels it's a good idea to start naming instances as you set them up. Very handy for dealing with things like kicks interfering with basslines and making space in the mix.DaveGamble wrote:You know you can import analyser curves from other instances by right clicking the analyser button and picking things?

I'm going to have to go back and read the manual again. There's so much I missed the first time around.

Should we install it on top the "unofficial" 1.03 ?

With all known crashes fixed, and serious issues dealt with, and my transport booked for a few days away, I shall slink quietly away for a bit, and recharge!
There are still some issues I'll address (everything on thread has been logged), and plenty of feature requests for me to get stuck into on my return, so fear not! I'll get everything done in good time (and maybe even before the discount expires at the end of April!)
If you have any trouble while I'm away, please know that Krzysz and my brother Peter are handling email and should be able to resolve most matters; and they'll be cataloguing feature requests and bug reports in my absence, so all should be well!
Can't wait to see how everyone has gotten on when I return!
All the best,
Dave.

Always best to nuke everything in sight before applying new versions. The final build may contain a few other changes that he did after fixing your specific bug.Tp3 wrote:Should we install it on top the "unofficial" 1.03 ?

I have been using EQuilibrium v1.03 on several mixes now and it seems much more stable and glitch free.
New favorite EQ for sure.

This Plugin doesn't do saturation but your Plugin folder does?
You are not motivated to be a little more dynamic and try it because this Plugin has no dynamics?
You own Equality and you think ..that's it, quality is there, thanks..
You are like me..but yesterday I've got the figures!
Use the change of soundquality in Equality's Linear Phase mode from 2k to 128k and multiply it with 4.7.
The result is comparable to the improvement in soundquality you get between Equality in Digital Mode and Equilibrium in IIR Mode.
It's huge!
It's like looking to the 20m deep ground of the sea you are swimming in..kind of scary!!
clarity all over the place..
I'm impressed..now combine it with Studio Ones focused Control Link..feels *m*zing!

Glad you're happy - bug reports have slowed to a crawl and generally everyone seems pretty happy now! There's a few minor issue that will be addressed on Dave's return but nothing that looks particularly challenging at the moment...guppi wrote:I'm impressed..now combine it with Studio Ones focused Control Link..feels *m*zing!

I'm having a strange problem - running the demo - with SONAR X2 64 bit
Windows 8 64 bit
64 bit EQuilibrium
I can't isolate the cause yet - but on some tracks, when I load EQuilibrium, if I boost a node, I get a screech and a crackle, and then all audio goes dead for the track! If I cut the same node, it's fine.
Other tracks in the same song are also fine - no matter what I do. Maybe it's a combination of EQuilibrium and another plugin?
I'll pay around some more and see if I can isolate it.
EDIT - it's like it's getting stuck in a feedback loop. The volume goes to 99db. Sometimes I can recover by disabling EQuilibrium, or by deleting the plugin from the track and re-adding it. Other times I have to just unload SONAR and start again.

while looking forward to the fix of the Logic surround bug I like to throw in a suggestion for UI improvement:
As mention earlier I miss a visible indication what channels are displayed by the analyser and what channel the graph belongs to. I think the header of the channel meters could serve as indicator. Highligth the Background to indicate the "graph channel" and color the font according to the analyser colors (first and second source). The Meter header could also act as buttons: click the header to switch the graph to that channel ... right click could open a Context Menu to set the channel as first or second source for the Analyser.
