Not really interested for that price, i'll wait till the update is on sale or maybe i will skip this time and upgrade when K11 is out. :)

How spoiled we are..
Yeah, it's ridiculous. Komplete is the greatest bargain out there, imo, followed by Arturia's V Collection.

They discontinue their Classic Piano Collection on October 1, 2014. I think, it's the right decision. Their pianos weren't good and also weren't sampled chromatically.

I'm also going to wait for K11...

I went from Komplete 5 to 7 to 9 and I can see a bit of a pattern in those numbers

Each one of those updates offered me significant benefits and fantastic new tools to work with...

But there's nothing in the new package that I need...

Those pianos were recycled rubbish and a waste of HD space...

The top end sounded like it was being hit with an ice pick :(

The Concert D and the Italian Grand from Synthogy are all I need for acoustic pianos, even though I have way too many sampled pianos :)
No auto tune...

This video is better than the first one posted although there's still nothing musical played in the video. You get to see a bit of the new browser software and apparently all of the products get a new "condensed" GUI for this browser (see around the 1:45 mark).

Here's another bit of info for Maschine 1.x owners: "Owners of MASCHINE 1.x who register KOMPLETE 10, KOMPLETE 10 ULTIMATE or a KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series also get a free MASCHINE 2.2 download."

Argh again...can't we put the "edit" and "quote" buttons further away?

Oh good spot, that looks great actually. Don't know if its edited for speed in the video, but that's very responsive, and I see the EDIT button there, presumably you just click it to get the full patch up.

One thing the keyboard review mentioned - although the browser is pretty basic, it's better and snappier in use than Kore was. The simplicity has advantages as well as drawbacks.

how about 20 pianos for the new synths? 30 pianos?

all the gigs of sample libraries of everything in komplete for the new synths? c'mon NI.. how about it?
The three new synths are all in basic Komplete - don't bother to install the rest. That upgrade price is still cheaper than buying the three new synths individually.

Still not a good enough deal for you?
$199? nope. not a good enough deal. I can wait for the sale in 8 months or whatever.. or just wait until komplete 11. not like there isn't enough to do with komplete 9 or 8 or 7 etc. really.. it's loaded.

also, i don't want another big ass box with 15 disks and a bunch of manuals or whatever. it's a total waste. just let me download the handful of things i'm interested in and they can keep their box of paper and plastic.

Well yeah it will be half price too one day. The idea that those three synths don't represent good value even at $199 (less through retailers) is a bit far fetched though, disregarding everything else.

And by all means, use the box as a paperweight.

The calls for this version, that version, if only they bundled these things... it seems pretty silly to me. As it is, there are a lot of different versions - ultimate / upgrades / crossgrades etc. There must come a point where the sheer complexity of buying and selling it becomes counterproductive.

The only way to treat Komplete is a bundle that hardly anyone will ever use all of. Just figure out what you think you'll use and don't worry about all the rest of the stuff you won't. Of course for some they won't be interested on a particular version at a particular point, and most bang for buck comes every alternate version as most people know, but you can't really have NI on Komplete not being good value.

everyone has a different idea of what is "worth it" and what is a "good value". take into consideration what a person already has an uses and "needs". those new things don't have much value if they overlap with features/sound/functions of things a person already has. why pay $200 for the update when it adds up to redundancy? for me.. that's the scenario so yeah.. it's not a good deal... for me :tu:

also, doorstop/paperweight? yeah.. i have 3 of those already from NI. it's stupid.

I have never purchased anything from NI and most likely never will. I am rather well aware of what's included, as I've demoed much. I prefer the great freedom of choosing my own instruments and FX from many sources. Further, I completely hate the horrible framework that must be dragged around anytime NI stuff is used.

I only regret not having Monark of ALL that NI offers, but I will never buy it unless it comes freestanding and without the NI fetters. There are too many Moog-type synths that sound about as good, some even better as they can do poly.

Not entirely sure why, but dislike the framework, the marketing, the licensing and just about everything about NI, except one or two of its plugins.

Glad to be Native Instruments FREE!

Strange comment saying glad to be free from something you actually have to spent money for. How you can be glad not to bought something you don't want or need?
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
