This week, I bought these two tasty pedals:

Also, picked up a second-hand electronic drumkit, the 2box Mk1, for a fair price:

I have previously bought the Vongon Polyphrase and 2Box Mk1 but wanted back-ups in case something went wrong with the first ones.

I'm not sure if this is normal behaviour  : how many other people buy backup pedals / kits?
It's probably a waste of money (and also there should always be fairly close alternatives available), but if I find something that I REALLY like, I tend to do that if the price is alright.
(Similarly, I'll be in the hunt for 'back-ups' of my Novation BS2 and my Roland HandSonic HDP-20 fairly soon).

Cheers :D

The new V2 version of Bloom has me interested. The addition of a third sequence lane doesn’t hurt but to me having a MIDI out makes it easy to capture whatever it comes up with in order to home in on parts that work best.

Yeah, the MIDI out is really nice, but man oh man... $500? I have V1, and at least a dozen utilities that can mess-with/alter/offset/manipulate and mangle whatever it (or any of my other sequencers, individually or collectively) spits out, so I will be doing a very self-restrained hard pass on this, as appealing as it is. (yay me!)
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Would probably feel the same if I already owned the first version too.

Technically, this is really for next year's KVR thread (as the product is scheduled for release in Q1 2026), but some update news from Korg Berlin about their nifty electro-magnetic resonator machine, now called Phase 8, came out a few days ago.

I'm definitely going to get one.

I want one of these, but too many financial unknowns right now, so I’m restricting buys to Make Noise only.

Still, really nice desktop with on the fly interactions. It’ll be more expensive after the pre-reorders, but what isnt more expensive these days?

^^ Looks excellent :D

Recently got a ContinuuMini second hand, but it had a problem. I met Lippold Haken at SooperBooth, and he just exchanged it and now I have a perfectly working one… Alone the Eagan Matrix is worth it…

I just pre-ordered through their site. I saw the video all the way through and well, it’s basically how I’d like to work with audio on the fly, while remaining in sync. Plus, I love the idea of using this with the pedals or just the computer. 3 different immediate ways to use it, plus more if I add in the iPad.

*Re: Discord
I’m not a fan of it for discussions especially on more popular formats. It’s a chat, so catching up is either tedious or not worth it. Much to get lost in the noise.
There are PMs, which can be annoying to sort out the first time, but hey, they work as expected.

The fun part of Discord is not the company sponsored Discord servers, but smaller groups. I have one with the family. We can play games, stream movies and chat along which is great since we’re all spread out.

How much is it? I signed up trying to figure that out. Of course, I might order it.

$767 is the total. This included a $25 shipping fee, so hopefully that’s still the same fee to Hawaii

They were down to single digits left (from the first 100 builds), per their email today.

Ok thanks :)

They mentioned on Discord, they’re sold out. Seems more batches are on the way, but I’m not sure if it’s the same pricing or not.

The new Oxi One Mk2 announcement seems to have led to a number of the Mk 1 units being put up used for sale about £100 cheaper than they were. I’ve now bought a used Mk 1 and looking forward to seeing if it’s as easy to use as it appears. I like that it has bluetooth, should be able to talk MIDI with ipad apps.
