Jimi these pluggo vst's which need pluggo runtine are dead simple to use - same as any other plug-in. all you gotta do is

> download Cycling '74's Pluggo Runtime for windows here:

http://www.cycling74.com/downloads/pluggo (download 'pluggoruntime361' for XP)

Or

While you are their you might aswell download the free collection of pluggo's by Cycling '74 themselves do; you get 12 good vst's and this also of course will install the 'pluggoruntime361' at the same time. So if you go for this which i recommend highly mate then you do not need to download the above, plus it will give you an idea of the pluggo interface in one install. So download pluggojr361 from here:

> then run whichever of the two you downloaded (either the 'Pluggo 3.6.1 Runtime Installer.exe' file or the 'Pluggo Jr. 3.6.1 Installer.exe' file)

> This will then create a folder in your vstplugins folder called 'Cycling '74' and a subfolder inside of that called 'Pluggojr' or it might just install one of the two folders (either way it makes no odds)

> then just unzip/unrar any free (or even demo) 3rd-Party pluggo vst's you download and move them/copy them into your vst plugins folder inside the folder mentioned in the above step

> then open them as you would any other vst man - its that easy bro

I whole heartedly recommend downloading pluggo Jr as this sets all the stuff up in one go including 12 good vst's so you know exactly where to put any other pluggo's you want to try/use.

You only live once Jimi, if i can use it trouble free then i know you can mate and i know you will dig some of the mad stuff which is out their i promise you and it also opens up a whole new world of resources to hunt for and collect. Plus if it was fiddly/awkward and/or was aload of shit i would not use them myself. You can always tell a pluggo.dll compared to a regular vst.dll by this; when you hover you mouse over the .dll file it will display the following information:

Company: Cycling '74
File Version: 4.5.+
Date Created On: 00/00/0000 00:00
File Size: 00.0 KB

As MaxMSP was the program it was created in (just like SynthEdit or SynthMaker) and the 'runtime' is similar to having DirectX or Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable installed for example IE: you will not notice its their

i just found no dll's when i downloaded before...

I think it was an obvious crap, otherwise I'd left them be. But I'm sure I have tried those plugs a month earlier!

you can do it too the same way.

i never use amps to track, i use a little korg amp sim thing.

to get that psychedelic tone, i use a dano mini "french fries" autowah into the korg, and record it in stereo.

then i split it to two mono tracks, mono them, reverse one,
then apply either the free kjaerhaus classic flanger or phaser at a slow speed to the reversed signal, then flip it back to normal direction.

then change the mod speed slightly, and flange/phase the other side....

so now i have a binaural guitar lead with phase or flange going forward and backwards across the stereo field...diggit?

now drag the left track back in time maybe 7-11 ms, and the right track forward in time maybe 11-20ms;

make sure the time is NOT the same on each side. (i use a custom nyquist called time shifter on acid David Sky wrote for me in Audacity! to do this)

now pan each track roughly 50%left and right, nix them to a stereo track, and there's my formerly secret LSD tone.



i can't check the demo on this machine, and my tower's hd shit the bed yesterday so please send me a add friend request, so i can check it out when i get my puter back together..
