That is good news but in your screenshot somebody just did a negative image of the background. You can tell by the parameter readout windows.

But like you said it's a work in progress......looking forward to the final version. :tu:

Hm. This white Predator skin is a bit strange with the black buttons. I wish it had some green background, because the main scene of the first Predator movie was the jungle.

Post

Dark green would be nice, but I hope for just a similar skin to version 1.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

The demo is now available.

I think the best example of a nice vector graphic interface is FXpansion's Strobe 2. Many developers could learn from such a beautiful and simple interface.
Although i really love strobe2, i find it's ui fidly. Not the most handsome ui out there for sure.
I like what Image Line is doing with their plugins. Completely vector based, dark, smooth, modern...i love those

I had a couple minutes to play around with it the first time...

I quite like the sound. Better than v1. Sounds a little fuller/richer to me.

I don't quite like the GUI. v1 was better. It's hard to "find" the right section. I need to "search" more on the GUI.

I apologize if this was asked - will we have Predator 2 FX vst version like with Predator 1?

Post

It is not included in the demo.

Just downloaded the demo and was wondering what the message means that appears after selecting a custom vst folder. I can't select a folder that does not exist, obviously. So I select a folder that already exists, in which case it says the folder already exists, would I like to install to that folder, anyway?
What is the logic behind that?!

Also, selecting 32 vs 64 bit should come before selecting the folder as many people have different folders for 32 and 64 bit plugins.

GUI looks horrible, useless to me...
Some presets use a lot of CPU, hardlead 01 for instance, and the CPU load never goes down again.
The ugly phase bump when using multiple waves via spread is still there, also in free mode.
The 24db LP filter 2 still causes a lot of noise with certain osc settings.

I think I will pass on that upgrade, in fact I am selling v1 as the upgrade was the only reason why I bought it in the first place. I had hoped for a quality rather than quantitiy upgrade...
So, if you like v2 and want to use the cheap upgrade path, you can have my v1 for 45 euros :)

I've lost count of how many plugin installers do the same. I don't know why they ask if you want to install in an already existing folder but they do and it causes no harm. It might be they are all using the same installer or there is some reason for asking the question that's not obviously apparent but if you've installed enough plugins you don't even pay any attention to it any longer........
