Well, when I choose software I'm going to use, I'm not marrying it, some tools are indispensable, some are not. Making the most of the tools you have till they die for whatever reason, is the best you can do. Studio One isn't going anywhere soon, but I'm not in any rush to buy an upgrade just because it's new... Once bitten twice shy and all that...

Well done Presonus. This also means I will need to upgrade to win10 soon. Hopefully this time win10 will be more cooperative with my PC and latency issues will be under control.
resistance is futile. Check my latest mix: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=532758

Hmm, I don´t know...
The last time they did a big announcement days before with a countdown they did a lame 20% off sale for new customers...
After a little shitstorm from existing customers they gave away for free one of the Fat Channel comps...
Perhaps it´s V5... perhaps you´ll be disappointed...

Push for Studio One! This seems to indicate clip/loop launching is coming...antic604 wrote: Fri Jul 03, 2020 9:05 pm Difference between Atom SQ and 'regular' Atom, based on Live support for them

Would be interested to see if people will actually use it. Because as Ableton grew I think many miss out on Ableton's strength with the session view, sample mangling, remixing etc. You barely see content of users showcasing using the session view in creating songs. It's mainly to the arranger view to do all the music. If Presonus wants to make the clip launching more appealing they need to find producers who can actually showcase using it in context of creating a song.

Yep, right after July 6th, July 7th will come. It's just a reminder for those who are calendar challenged.

If the new release will have a clip launcher , the buggy history of the scratchpad is not a good indication.
It took presonus years to iron out fundamental flaws and bugs in the s.p.

Every major release is riddled with bugs, nothing new here. Let's see if any of our predictions are true.

Personally I hope they don’t add clip and loop launchers etc. I already moved from Cubase as it was just too cluttered and confusing, I liked the simplicity and focus of Studio One. It’s unlikely that a jack of all trades DAW will ever be as good as something built for the task (such as Live) but it seems a lot of people only want to use one DAW and they want it to be able to do everything. Maybe the market for linear DAWs is saturated (They seem to all be permanently on sale) and the only market left to go for is the Live crowd.
Session view/Clip-launchers....Live, Bitwig, Logic, Digital Performer, Traction....Studio One?

I just hope they finally improve their horrible and inflexible stretching/pitching algorithms (including full working tempo detection a la Logic, Live, Bitwig or FL Studio) - without faulty workarounds in Melodyne.

Now I don't use Melodyne much, but based on the the videos I've seen it looks like the Melodyne implementation in Cubase is better thought out than in Studio One. Is that right, or am I completely wrong? Or is it a matter of taste?
