And it started many years ago, when they added Piano V.

Anyway, I don't mind. I like the Augmented series and that's all that matters to me.

I don't think it became incoherent with pianos. The collection was always recreations of exiting instruments, synths and keyboards. V for virtual or vintage, pianos are both. Made sense that pigments was separate because its original and hybrid. Augmented series is the only ones that didn't make sense, but I won't complain about extra stuff. Now with the augmented stuff in there, it makes more sense for pigments to be in as well. Infact I think those should have been just pigments expansions. Or st least just one Augmented instruments plugin with expansions.

😉
Sure, I especially love the emulations of all those old 70s and 80s augmented voices, strings, pianos, ... :nutter:
Surely you can’t get more vintage than a voice, string, piano or brass instrument? Doesn’t it just mean old?

Would be an instabuy for me.

What’s the appeal of an alpha Juno vs. a 6/60/106? I had a 1 and it was fine, but I much preferred the 60 and 106.

I would like to see a JX-V with some sort of JX-3P/JX-10 mashup that includes pwm as an option.

I can only speak for myself, but the appeal of the Alpha is when you start to get off the well trodden path of run of the mill synthwave type patches and out into the area of weird bleeps, bloops, and sweeps. I love all the Junos, but in addition to a few other unique features, the Alpha has a different filter that I think sets it apart. Some people consider it weak because it doesn't self oscillate, but patches like the Alpha's "Synrise" with its epically long resonant filter sweep don't really have an equivalent on the other Junos. It's a kind of almost otherwordly quality that I haven't really heard any other synth replicate, for that matter.

An Alesia Andromeda would be a great addition, they’ve yet to really offer a Multitimbral synth yet. I’m also hoping Arturia will release their own Polybrute VST before someone else. Seeing as they were able to make an excellent plug-in of the Minifreak this would be a no brainer to do the Polybrute. A JX8P/JX10 would be awesome as others have mentioned.
INTERFACE: RME ADI-2/4 Pro/Antelope Orion Studio Synergy Core/BAE 1073 MPF Dual/Heritage Audio Successor+SYMPH EQ
SYNTHS: Arturia Polybrute 12/Roland Jupiter X + Juno X/Yamaha Montage M/Yamaha KX88/Softsynths + Samplers
PEDALS: Chase Bliss Mood MK II

I remember this thread started the day after V Collection 9 was announced. We must actually be due about now - when's the most likely release time? Obvs everything this time of year revolves around Black Friday, are they likely to try and release before then?

V6 and V8 were released on December, slightly after BF.
