My midi controller isn't detected, any ideas? It has the option to add a generic one.

Same here for my E-Mu XMIDI 1x1 MIDI to USB interface (where i have connected my Wavestation EX).virtualmark wrote:My midi controller isn't detected, any ideas? It has the option to add a generic one.
While in Live 9 and other hosts (and also several standalone synths) it is recognized properly in Bitwig i had to choose it as a "generic" controller. In the selection it now appears as "MIDI keyboard". So far i did not find a way to rename it.

It seems a bit above my head at the moment. I have an Oxygen 25, it gives me the option to add a midi keyboard with 8 knobs. I have buttons and sliders too, I guess I'm going to have to study the scripting manual.

Apparently it needs a java runtime for OS X. A dialogue to this effect is shown on first launch. I declined to install one as java is a perennial vector for exploits.
Any subsequent attempt to launch BWS silently fails and this (presumably) is caused by the lack of a java runtime. This isn't terribly user friendly...

As i see the commander i would like to copy that info out and print it to learn the shortcuts, but it doesn`t seem to let me select all and copy them to clipboard. Any way to get hold of that list?
Also checked the manual for it but couldn`t find it.

What I did was copy the Generic Script and changed the names and stuff in there to fit for instance my Doepfer LMK3.
Help -> Control Surface Scripting Guide has more information if you feel like investing a little time. I'm sure we can soon build a large library of devices that way.
There is already a thread to share such things in the KVR Bitwig Forum:

I uploaded my AKAI MPD 18.

Interesting.. it's a 32Bit program but has a 64Bit plug-in host to handle 64Bit plug-ins. No crashes so far.

But my question was, if there will be a demo for Linux, not for a subset : Debian based distributions, that use dpkg packaging. Now I would have to translate the dependencies t my distro and install them manually ... no way. Why not supply the source to compile it for yourself ?ZenPunkHippy wrote:The .deb file will install OK on Ubuntu (and some other distributions).KoolFartWind wrote:Hm, all I could find is a debian package.
