You need to get a new comedy writer. Your material, um, makes no sense.whyterabbyt wrote:"Why would a Wookiee, an 8-foot-tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of 2-foot-tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a friend of more than one lawyer, emailing an audio company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! This happening has made me think about my other plugins. I used to always keep back ups of installers but nowadays so many companies keep them in the cloud for you I stopped doing it but I am now going to restart just in case

Wow, this is very shocking and sad news.
What a horrible start to the year... I dont use much software these days but in the last 8 - 9 days have found out Hollow Sun, Prodyon and now CA are just... gone!
Been a HUGE fan since buying Cameleon 5000, have the Krim banks for both Space and Phat (and LOVE them), have Alchemy and a few banks but TBH dont use it near as much as Space and Phat. Whenever I had an issue with support it was always Tim who replied and my mail client has always put his name as default whenever CA sent out an email. Its so sad to every now and then see "Tim Conrardy sent you a message." Reminds you of how sad his passing was.
Hope they are all well at Camel towers and that their wonderful work will survive in some shape or form. Feels like one of the pillars of music software has just crumbled...
Thanks for everything Camel Audio!

Yeah, maybe. Anyway, this has been a lot of fun but I got some real work to do. So when CA writes back to me in 2 weeks or 2 months, I'll let you know.Mushy Mushy wrote:Or a different audience perhaps.wagtunes wrote:You need to get a new comedy writer. Your material, um, makes no sense.
Gotta go make some music.

Except on the support page it reads:QLNE wrote:If I may add a new speculation...the CA downloaded now accessible in the user account is new. VERY new as in v1.00.0.0281. And it integrates all the purchased items (synths, sound banks, etc) into a rather well functioning and streamlined interface.
....and it carries the CA logo.
Perhaps the Camels have not gone away at all.....maybe they are just getting rid of that tired old website.
Ready?
Go!
AF
"Camel Audio's plug-ins, Alchemy Mobile IAPs and sound libraries are no longer available for purchase."
If it was just a website change, why would they not simply update their kvr forum and twitter account with "site currently down for maintenance" , also why would they cease availability of the Alchemy Mobile app on the Apple store?
Hopefully it won't be too long before we get official word as to exactly whats going on. Was really shocked to see the site down and the message about no more purchases.
I sincerely hope this does not mean Alchemy2 gets canned :/
In the meantime I've quickly gone to grab the 64-bit installer versions of CamelSpace and CamelPhat from downloads section which I hadn't grabbed yet since switching to 64-bit setup.

If you check the forum of Camel Audio you see that CA don't talk since long time to the users. Questions were answered by users and not by Camel Audio :S
