Glooper - Distant Love

Good Mix!

Your voice reminds me of They might be giants at parts. Nice stuff!
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Tancos - Threnody

Cool, I feel like I'm in an elven forest. Great mixing! This is a great ambience overall.

Sepheritoh - Pleased to Meet You

Wow, stranger than my entry! This song made me want to stand up, and walk. Maybe I've just been reviewing too long.

Sorry about that! I did not think it was THAT bad though?

I want to ask you a favor. I have epilepsy. Your signature is going to give me a seizure. Please slow it down. It's cool and all, but seriously...

Thanks,

For anyone who thought this was a bad joke...I'm not joking. I do have epilepsy and Vurt, there are 9596 of your strobing signatures all over the forum and, though pretty cool, they really could be toned down a bit. For the record, I love your tracks and your online personality and hope you don't think I'm attacking you. It's bad enough that KVR has some irritating flash adds.

BTW - my entry is in.

Not your cup of tea eh? :hihi: (see above...)

I've got to agree with you about GC's music though. This kind of stuff is biiiigggg right now (coldplay, snow patrol, idlewild etc etc), and he certainly has the tunes to compete (if he concentrates on the pop a bit more, streamlines the arrangements etc).

Go for it sir, lest you end up like some sub-Bowie cynical fat old git in Leeds.....
Kyle- for what it's worth, I agree with them. Your music is the right genre for this time and good enough for the majors to take a chance on it, in my opinion. Pick your best 3 and send off them demos. Oh - and as DT says - don't end up a cynical fat old git in Leeds. :)

Some feedback for some of my favourite tracks, with the understanding that it’s my “opinion” and just from the perspective of a fresh set of ears.

Garett – Accomplishing. There’s a little indie pop gem waiting to be released here. Full version please and definitely a fresh take on the intro vocals. I like your voice, it’s perfectly suited to what your doing but the pitch is really shaky there and the problems compounded because you’re setting the songs key. The organs just absolutely right :)

Miro – Dirty City. To borrow a phrase “this is my cup of tea”. Good synth sounds, drum programming and a lovely liquid bass groove. The vocals could be higher in the mix and I don’t think you’ve extracted the max from the reintroduction of the bass after the breakdown. Perhaps you should delay the vocals so that they come in with the bass so your drawing out the tension more acutely? Another one that could do with the extended version treatment.

Windchillfactor – Vicious Crowd. Respect :) good to hear an individual voice but I’d like to hear it more clearly. Raise the vox level and clear away some of the murk around them and break at least two of the fingers of the conga player he makes most guitarists seem restrained (just joking with the last bit). I’m hearing a little Nick Cave here, you a fan?

Glooper – Distant Love. Wow! If you’re not doing this professionally you oughta be. Oh, I’ve just been over to your site and you are kind of doing it seriously  That’s great, thanks for sharing.

I’ll try and put some more feedback together later.

Barnadine - New Injuns

I like the intimate vocal and there's some good guitar and banjo type work. Cynical lyrics offset against the innocence of the track is clever. It's all a bit silly, but I know you meant that. The DFX Buffer Override at the end is a great touch. Good tune, too
:)

Dear Aunt Aggie,

I've got this song going round and round in my head and it won't stop. What can I do?

"The man in the hat is shagging the cat
You can fly away, but I hope you'll stay"

Sorry Wopelka - but it's true.

wow, :D... thanks Codacoda, what a compliment!... Unfortunetly I'm not doing it professionally, though I wish I was (it's got to be more fun than software engineering!). One day I'll raise the funds to build a real studio and produce full time,... rather than doing the odd song at the weekend in my spare bedroom!

... What a great little song. I think the words are a bit prosaic (Sorry vurt) but I like the way you’ve arranged this. I would have liked it better if you had arranged it with more of a gritty psychedelic sound a la The Grass Roots' “Live For Today,” but then you wouldn’t get to use that groovy Europop rhythm section. Nice. And best coda of the month.
Thank You™ for your generous review... :D

OT :
My 2 cents about the 'not my cup of tea song'...
Reviewers can start by saying they will review songs about which they have something to say.
Didn't read all the posts so it may have been said...

Anyway thank you all reviewers....
