Voted. Took a lot of time, but wow, so many great tracks!

I voted!

Will probably revisit in a few days because lots of the 2's and 3's probably deserve better... Lots of good sounds throughout!

I've pretty much voted - might do some more tweaking.

Though I think I'm scoring it differently to a lot of other people. For me, 1 or 2 two points doesn't mean 'bad', just that others scored better on the things I was looking for.

Finally... that was way more work than I signed up for.

I assigned just a few 1s and 2s, TONS of 3s, quite a few 4s, and only four 5s.

I gotta say that the number 1 spot for me belongs to Richard Semper. That steel guitar sound just made my month.

Thanks, all. That was fun.

Aye and +1 to that. The articulation of the sax parts is also awesome and should be listened to again and again to be admired.

Thank you both

May I just give a big :tu: to mehum (and some others) who has gone to extraordinary lengths to give honest constructive feedback to all participants. It makes excellent reading, and his manner is to be admired!

I only wish i had the confidence and experience to do this as well! I have great difficulty in putting my finger on what exactly could be done to improve a track, (still trying hard to grasp concepts and techniques myself) and this shows me how much I still need to learn about objective listening. I know instinctively what I like, and can understand when something sounds good, but maybe I need to listen more from a 'producer's perspective' as well as a 'music lover'. So thanks for opening my eyes and ears a bit more!

Haha, thanks! I enjoy making those little essays :) It really helps me in my own development as well and I'd recommend anyone producing music to get into that kind of mind when listening to music, at least at times (sometimes it's nice to just sit back and enjoy also...).
I don't think I'll be able to keep it up for this month though but I'll gladly give critique by PM for anyone interested. Might not always be quick to reply, but I'll try. Please note, though, that I'm no expert, I just happen enjoy analyzing stuff, so any advice I give might just as well be useless.

An incredibly hard and difficult task.
I want to say two things:
- i just don't like dubstep and any "hard" techno/electronic and similar genres. Still, the Jasinsky track is to me an experience, a lesson, a travel.
- as usual, I had to scale down my votes to "decompress" the 3-4-5 votes zones. So, if you think you get a bad vote from me, pls remember that my votes are "relative" to the other tracks, not "absolute" judgement.

I agree. His track was special. That's all I'm gonna say.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my soundcloud track, I consider that constructive criticism is good.

everyone has different concepts the genre of music we want to compose. but it is nice to hear each of the tracks and learn from each of them.

I think the sound design involves a huge effort by each of us, which is, to congratulate

in competitions next start to use of limiters compressors and some mastering, for the moment, I no have a couple of monitors, to compose, and compose with simple headphones, practically not help much but yet, I like to compose with them, so I'll do my best effort in the upcoming competitions

thanks to everyone, greetings from mexico

a question!

is there a way to know the qualifications that puts each user?.
thanks. :)

Thanks for listening my track and comment
