And can Falcon import the SFZ's from Discodsp's Bliss?

It doesn't appear so. I just tried dropping one into both the sample and granular oscillators and neither worked.

It is about 1 1/2" short vertically, and about 1/2" too wide on my 27" monitor. I wanted to ask here first if anyone else is seeing this before I submit it to UVI. I have a slightly convoluted 3 monitor setup, as I'm using ATI graphics cards, and they don't do non-viewport monitors beyond 2 out of the box. I say this because maybe the problem is only happening with this hardware setup. Likewise, maybe it's Cubase 8.0.3 64 that doesn't like it. The "big" size is actually taller, but comes up about 4" short on the width.

Anyone?

This thing is honkin' btw. :phones: :tu:

Edit: regarding fit screen size: if I drag it so that it is centered, only the white frame borders go off screen, so width-wise, it actually is full screen (it just doesn't snap like it should).

I also noticed that it takes about 10 tries to grab the dividers between the center frame and the left (or right) side panels to resize them horizontally. The drag icon is practically impossible to make appear for more than a split second. All of this is minor, but I think it should get a look IF it's not just specific to my machine.
I had a similar thing. The "fit screen" option was actually smaller than the "small" option vertically when I tried it(!) But, I'm having to use the small size, because the third and final choice ( the "big" option) was comically big. Though in fairness to the big option, it wasn't lying...

Also had a thing, which I am assuming is a bug and not intended behaviour, where the screen resized way too wide after I temporarily hid the side browsers, then I struggled to resize with the arrows (as you seemed to) in order to get it back to normal. Though tried that since and it didn't happen again, so I dunno. Must be some issue, but not a permanent one in that case.

Bitwig and Win7-64 here, though been running fine generally.

And I agree that it is honkin'! but only if that is a very positive sentiment and nothing to do with unpleasant whiffs or horns. I did have to overcome a slight "Arrghh! Mum has tidied my room!" syndrome, as some things are different from MachFive, yet some things are the same. Almost more confusing than if I'd never used MachFive, at times, but getting in the swing of it now. Saved several new multis etc...

Drop then in the program slot instead.

So, to be clear, I can drop the SFZ from the Alchemy Library in the program slot. I will work that way?

Yes, works fine, some things sometimes don't translate though, like round robins and keyswitches. You can edit those things in the Layer rules afterwards.

I would like to see the key range default to all keys when dropping a sample on. Maybe I just haven't found it yet. Not a big deal, and it probably prevents people like me from asking "where the hell did it go on the keymap?". I've barely scratched surface, but I already have a decent handle on this thing. Lots of cool stuff in there.

Very cool. Thanks for that. :tu:

Thanks. Falcon seems to be an interesting plugin. I've got Halion 5. And that's also a 'hybrid instrument' but very well integrated with Cubase and nice library. But it doesn't load SFZ's (Why Steinberg Why?).

Can Falcon also do this in these MachFive video's from Motu:

How about wavetables from, or built for, Serum, or other synths that use and edit them? I read some earlier posts on this but they were a bit over my head… Is there some link to a simplified rundown on single-cycle waves, wavetables, universatility vs prop. formats, and the like?

Thanks!

Move the mouse as you're holding it above the keymap editor vertically when you're dropping a sample, the mapping area will expand.

Look, Falcon is the evolution of MachFive, is does all of this and much more.

You can't edit wavetables, you will create these outside of Falcon e.g. in Serum, you can create wavetables from imported images though, just drag and drop an image on the WT synth, and you can create single cycle waveforms from wav samples, just drop a wav in the WT synth and it will isolate the first single cycle of that sample, if it's not truncated properly nothing much will be extracted though.
