It would be cool if Reaktor had a VST3 export feature. The authorization could just be tied to your Reaktor license (running Reaktor in the background). Then we could chose which ones we wanted to use as VST.

What would be the benefit, if you own Reaktor anyway? If anything, the VST3 versions would probably even be a bit more CPU heavy. Unless they port it to "native" VST3. Which will be a lot of work.
There would be a benefit for NI: That people not owning Reaktor would be in the market for the plugins.

Actually there's no inherent reason why VST3 plugins would use more CPU than VST2.
In fact, Super 8 VST3 version uses LESS CPU than the original Reaktor version.

Cool, I didn't think it would do.
Wonder what's the reason for that. I always thought that they would have to run the Reaktor engine in the VST3. Ok, thinking about it, I guess they don't have to run the whole Reaktor related menu and GUI stuff, just the DSP core stuff.

Yep there's that. But also VST3 version was coded so that it doesn't take all the CPU even if no voices are playing, CPU is dynamically allocated based on how many voices are active (that was done in the 1.1 update).

Francisco Partners now holder majority shares over Native Instruments and EMH. After reading, the direction looks to go into an all inclusive environment of sorts. Unifying their product line, maybe in ways we haven't seen yet. I wonder how this will affect development. Financial support brings lots of growth in product development, so lets hope they get a lot more done.

Improving upon Serum, instead of improving on Massive...?EvilDragon wrote: Tue Jan 19, 2021 10:40 amDifferent goals in product design phase._leras wrote: Tue Jan 19, 2021 1:11 amI still can't understand why Massive X lost an oscillator and a filter from the original version. Such a shame!
They could have simply added new wave tables and filters and made lots of people very happy. Add updated FX, LFO/Performers, some routing changes and there's a Massive 2.
The dual filters setup in Massive was so useful and easy to use. Going back to one filter just meant less flexibility...
Hopefully, they can somehow add back a second filter...

I think NI is finished. The founders have sold most of their shares. The last two Komplete releases were crap.vertibration wrote: Wed Jan 20, 2021 6:22 pm Francisco Partners now holder majority shares over Native Instruments and EMH. No problem, just create a wavetable containing the filtered target wave and then impor - ohh... Well then we can resample the wavetab... oh._leras wrote: Wed Jan 20, 2021 6:24 pm The dual filters setup in Massive was so useful and easy to use. Going back to one filter just meant less flexibility...

There is a very musical SVF parallel and serial dual filter in massive x.

You don't know how investment firms work.v1o wrote: Wed Jan 20, 2021 7:01 pmI think NI is finished. The founders have sold most of their shares. Francisco Partners has raised over $24 billion in committed capital and invested in more than 300 technology companies, making it one of the most active and longstanding investors in the technology industry.

Do you honestly think the last release of Komplete was a good product? Do you think the MX release was handled well? The link says the founders have sold most of their stake.vertibration wrote: Wed Jan 20, 2021 7:41 pmYou don't know how investment firms work.v1o wrote: Wed Jan 20, 2021 7:01 pmI think NI is finished. You can't solve problems by just throwing more money into something. Investment firms are notorious for racking up debts and then asset striping their investments. It basically white collar gambling some investments workout whilst others fail. Look at Apple they're successful because they had a strong visionary founder, that grew the company organically without massive debts and then he hand picked a successor he trained himself.

I actually wondered that the first comment I read on the matter was positive. I thought "Just a matter of time until the next prophet of doom chimes in". I wasn't wrong.
