but nearly sure that there works a little bit in the back, which recognize that it´s installed...sorry for trying to help
Thanks for your help. I tried your suggestion with M1, which has been updated to 2.2.1 by the way. Again no luck.

I downloaded M1 from Software Pass 1.1.7 and it opened the zip.
Ran the installer from the zip and uninstalled M1.
Ran the installer again from the zip (which was still open in the background) and re-installed M1.
Closed Software Pass and re-opened it: It still shows M1 2.0.0 and wants me to update.

I verified the installation by checking the file dates for the plugin and the standalone. They are from August 18, 2021.

Edit: But to end on a positive note, Korg is now sending out notifications by email about these updates. So I don't really need Software Pass to stay in the loop. :)

Probably mentioned already but ...

Software Pass did not update for me by installing the new version over the old. I had to uninstall the old version first and then install the new version.

Can't say I've ever used any Yamaha software.
Steinberg is owned by Yamaha, so if you've ever used Cubase or HALion, or anything like that, well that's Yamaha owned...

But I do agree with the comment on the Roland Cloud activation scheme, which I have avoided so far. I guess I will have to stick to my old Roland hardware for now...

I had posted about some of the issues I was having, now happy to say that the Sp and other updates have corrected them.
While it does seem odd that they would have released the collection with these problems, my thanks to Korg for getting them resolved.

Korg Software Pass v1.1.5 informed me I had no Internet connection, when I went to grab the updates my fellow KVRers mentioned here. So I used Chrome and my non-existent Internet connection to download v1.1.7.

Once v1.1.7 was installed, it actually showed an accurate list of what needed to be updated. But that usually works properly the first time you install/re-install Korg Software Pass. After that, it seems to lose track.

Mine is stuck on v1.1.4...
And trying to directly download via Korg ID through Chrome browser is coming up with dead links that aren't currently working as they've done in the past.

Can you post the link you're getting 1.1.7 from?

The links work on Edge or as someone said earlier you can right click the links in chrome and select ‘open in new tab’

The links are out of date, and they only purport to show you what's in the update(s) anyway. But since they're out of date (some up to 21 days old), there's really no point in following them.

I finally had to do a Google search for "Korg Software Pass". It was the first result.

Thanks! For me it was the third result. Here's the two links i wound up with:

(Triton Extreme still shows a Download button as well as MiniKorg and Prophecy showing Try Demo. Otherwise, everything else is finally correct.)

Well, yes, but Steinberg is an actual software company, and also one of the oldest and most experienced developers of audio software. They know what they're doing. It basically makes no difference that Yamaha happens to own them. I was just talking about software developed in-house at Yamaha, which (if it's anything like Korg or Roland) is probably pretty bad.

Those have ben out for a few years, right? And even though Yamaha has their name on the "Vintage Collection", the plug-ins don't seem to be emulations of any specific Yamaha gear -- probably because people aren't beating down the door for "the sound of a vintage Yamaha mixer EQ from the '70s". A synth? Definitely. An EQ? Not so much.

I think we're all hoping that if Yamaha gets into the same synth software game as their '70s - today counterparts Korg and Roland, their distribution/installation/activation system won't be as bad as Korg's and Roland's.
