The bug fixes for the current beta (https://www.ableton.com/en/release-notes/live-12-beta/) are still quite extensive so I'm thinking there's still a few weeks to go (mid-late Feb maybe ?)

That's probably just pandering to Torley, who I can't remember if they use live or not.Dark Barn wrote: Sun Dec 03, 2023 2:22 am I find the pink one appealing but the purple and green skin is pretty hard on the eyes.

I think I am. Runs noticeably faster and there are just enough new bits and tweaks to make it worth looking at. I would have called this 11.5

Really? An overhauled browser, two new devices, similarity search, a more flexible GUI, loads of additions for MIDI and piano roll, M4l performance pack, a new sound pack when it's released... and it's still just a point update for you?

It’s a very good new instruments and fx they added, top stuff.
IMO I think overhauled browser is a bit of an understatement, having ‘Find similar sounds’ by sample and preset analysis built in is I think a first for any DAW!

The new MIDI tools alone sold me the upgrade to 12.jules99 wrote: Thu Jan 04, 2024 9:47 pm Really? Really looking forward to be able to use these new things, and learn how to make generators myself. It's something I've wanted for a long time.Karbon L. Forms wrote: Thu Jan 04, 2024 11:25 pm 9 channel m4l euclidean generator midi tool I made using the new stuffs.

Just a post to say Granulator 3 seems to have flown under the radar with all the other cool new stuff...possibly my top granular synth in any format and now MPE and you can capture audio in real time...

Great video with some in-depth details I haven’t seen before
Some highlights:
Performance M4L Device (with built-in a kind of Remap)
Variations M4L Device (snapshots of the entire Ableton status with exceptions list!!!)
Some Latency features
Browser History
Dynamic quantization MIDI and Audio
Entire Drumrack Similarity Search at once
Fit to scale command in PR
Import Scales
Etc.
Tip: sample an audio element and then Similarity search it
Time-stamped in the description

I'll polish it a bit and slap it on google drive. Have not done the freezing and distributing thing before.SLiC wrote: Fri Jan 05, 2024 10:34 pmIs this downloadable anywhere? I must say, the available size of a MIDI Tool's UI is a bit stingy... hence the popup floating big UI (which has a button to go even bigger)
(The randomise buttons rock! Particularly the black one which can introduce one poly-rhythm/meter. The red one randomises all step counts so is a bit chaotic. Guaranteed contains ZERO AI!)
