Angine de poitrine translates to angina, angina pectoris, or simply chest pain/discomfort in English. It is a medical condition describing discomfort caused by reduced blood flow to the heart, often described as a squeezing or pressure feeling, frequently indicating coronary artery disease.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

With Angine the Poitrine you need to grok more than 12 notes (microtonality, check his guitar and bass fret layout...).

Set Theory claim:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate.
Red is Red and anything that is Red is an object, a class in itself or a real thing if you prefer"

Not even close. It is definitely easier to find a lot of different music but I don't think the diversity that was abundant in the 1980s is there any more.CYKLVM wrote: Thu Mar 26, 2026 2:43 amI don't think modern music is awful, in fact, I think there has never been a time with as much variety as we have now.
As opposed to guitars in the '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s, where 99% of everyone used one of two electric guitars and one of just a handful of different amps and cabinets, whilst keyboard players used a Rhodes or a Hammond. This is patently rubbish from the get-go.Bombadil wrote: Mon Apr 06, 2026 6:10 pm„Key Reasons Cited for the Decline in Quality:
Technological Homogenization: Popular music is often produced using the same computer software (DAWs), drum machines, and synth sounds, leading to a loss of original and varied timbre.
I think you are suggesting that in order to be successful, something has to be completely new and original, which is not the case at all. There is no proper genre that is full up, with no room for anything else. There are always gaps to be filled, where you can still be inventive and creative within the "restrictions" of the genre without being derivative. It's not even hard to do, certainly not in our genre, at least.Seluvis wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 10:03 amI wasn't suggesting nothing new can't be created or invented, more like it gets harder.
