Barnadine! :hail:

<fanboy mode on>

I :love: your :band:

Straight to the top of my chart! When's the tour?

<fanboy mode off>

See, there's mad production skillz and then there's great songcraft. Production is mostly technique and fashion which almost anyone can master. Songcraft can be simple or complex, but if there's talent like yours, you can dress it up anyway you like and still have a terrific song.

well said, i completely agree (even though i haven't had the chance to listen to Barnadine's song yet, but i know it'll be a killer).

:oops:

It's just a wee pop song. But thanks. :wink:

Short useless reviews, page two:

Hm. If the drums werent this organic, and the lead wasn't this piercing, this would have been close to Joy Division. I liked it, but it's a little happy for the style, something the guitar strums emphasize. But it's a nice song. I will shortlist it for now. If it grows on me after a few more times, who knows...

Great dub! Love the sound :) This sounds like one of the songs I heard in Iceland a couple of years ago. Formula but with an overall feel of originality that I like. Good work mate! ;)

Making me realy happy to read that kind of stuffffffffff!
Thank you guys!

:lol: *That'd be right... ;)
...xander, Slow Down Jackie: This could have been very good if not for the sampled drums (and bass and brass and..., but the drums are the worst). I like your voice, the song is nicely constructed. The 15 piece band would have made this crawl the top of the charts. But nice enough.
Mate! I told the drummer, bass player and brass section all about the contest but the bludgers never showed up! :x So all I had was them samples you hear there... :oops:

Cheers for the good words 8)

Yeah! I'm in! :) I don't expect a single one of you to enjoy my Rocktronica entry this month...but it is a mix of my favorite genres: Rock, electronica, and fusion, with a hint of industrial whatever. It was fun making it...just send my contract and don't forget the sign-up bonus! :)

BTW: My entry is 2:03...the song ends on 2:00 sharp but I allowed a few secs of the atmosphere to die out.

2 minutes is 2 minutes..

you're dq in my book..

i'd have loved an extra 3 seconds to fade out more myself.. too bad the rules dont say 2:03 for song limit but instead say 2:00 :P

What? This has been allowed before...

Ooops...I also need to fix the name of my entry. Damn. Got too excited...

Okay, I trimmed off the 3 secs so my song adheres to the rules.

Not sure if this is a joke or not. Oh, what the hell is all this about. I have entered this contest 5 times before and I was really happy to have the time to enter again and my song now fits the rules after my initial too-quick post.

Okay, so where does it say no trimming allowed in order to fit the rules?

And am I absolutely wrong if I claim that we have discussed this before and a few secs of fadeout after the 2 mins have been accepted?

I participate in the compo because it is both fun and a challenge.

It really took time and effort for me to enter so if I will be DQ'd for a) 3 secs of fadeout b) deleting those 3 secs then please can some admin remove my entry and I will post a new one and life will go on and the sun will rise again. :help:
