I've gone through about 2/3 of that vast list, thanks a million f**k. There are some really nice machines there, lot of junk too, but some fascinating stuff. There's a thread somewhere elsewhere on this forum about are there any good synths for Phat Bass Leads, I thought that Dante and Dragon Pro had some really good sounds for that. One of the Japanese links is for a quite complex machine that does excellent bells and tinkles, forgot its name, starts with an S I think (no not Synth 1), now regard it as an essential. There is one Japanese machine called something like Koocha which is supposed to emulate air-conditioner units, every time I started it in FL studio it generated an external error and I had to reboot FL studio. I'm sure somewhere else in this thread there's a link to the HG Fortune site http://www.hgf-synthesizer.de, he has freeware versions of all of his machines, they are about the only synths I'd happily pay for, best stuff out there IMHO. If you dig around vigourously on the Web you may be able to locate copies of some things he has abandoned, like Swamp.-indigocat

Hey, I found this guy on MySpace... I asked him about the VSTs, he said they were lost during a hard drive crash and he won't be re-upping them. He does have some music on his page and it's really good IMHO.

i got the air conditioner thingy to work, it's a max or pluggo or something.

just sits there and hums like an air conditioner.
;)

try it with savihost, maybe it will run there...or try updating the runtimes.

i have swamp, i think i've got all fortune's synths, and yah, they are amazing.

some really good stuff out there, and even the lamer stuff sometimes proves useful...even if just for amusement.

There are good reasons why businesses don't install Vista... But since Windows 7 is already out as a stable beta, one could try that one instead! It's optimized compared to V... Those who like Vista, I guess, will love Windows 7, or maybe not, cuz it's also more "Spartan", and some GUI functions has changed once again (for better). Then there is XP Pro x64, too. Anyone (musician) exp w/ that?
