I was reading about the D-70 and it's been basically called a Rompler. I am happy with the D-50 plugin, so I would pass on a virtual D-70.

Hey Mogular, so sorry to hear you are having this issue. If you wouldn't mind sending us a message through our customer support portal so we can get more information from you and try and assess what might be causing it. Appreciate the feedback!Mogular wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 11:33 pm I'm having all the same problems that I was having with the JV and XV plugins. All of the SRX plugins also display the exact same issue. High CPU usage and constant clicks and pops.
I have updated to the very latest version of Ventura. These are the exact same issues that used to exist with system 1, but thankfully no longer exist on that plugin.
I'm guessing there's something in the compilation which is causing problems, and you guys haven't quite sorted that out yet.
Mac M1 Max 64gb, latest Logic, Maschine and Komplete Kontrol.
I do not have these problems with any other plugin and I have many.

Thanks Jon. I am communicating back and forth with Travis from your support team. It's very strange because his test machine is also an M1, and he is getting no issues.
The thing I find so odd about this, is the fact that all the other plugins work absolutely fine. It is only the sample based rompler plugins like the JV, the XV and the SRX plugins.
The D50 plugin works perfectly. But that's not really a rompler.

Now that's weird... Just to test your SRX plugins issue, I've ran all of them at the same time under Cubase Pro in AS Native mode of course - new maxed out Mac mini with 12 core Pro CPU.Jon at Roland wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 10:53 pmNo problem at all Mogular! CPU meter didn't go beyond 30%... Not sure how to resolve your problem
BTW; You have mentioned that "spikes" happen running NI Machine... Could that be a culprit?

I get exactly the same behaviour across all the hosts that I try. Only with the SRX and the JV and XV plugins. Every single other Roland plug-in works absolutely perfectly for me (though I haven't tested Sound Canvas).
For the record, I have tried this out in Logic, Maschine, Ableton and Komplete Kontrol, I am using both audio unit components and VST3.

I’ll test it later in Machine, Komplete Kontrol - My master keyboard is NI Kontrol S49, but I also have Machine Micro MK2, Ableton Live Suite, Logic Pro, Reasonstudios Reason as well - all latest versions.Mogular wrote: Sun Aug 27, 2023 10:42 am I get exactly the same behaviour across all the hosts that I try. Okay I'm kind of curious, maybe Jon can once again shed some light:
What's the difference between the newly released "Zenology Sound Packs" and the "ZEN-Core Sound Packs" like Kinetic Waveforms from last week?
https://www.rolandcloud.com/news/introd ... ound-packs
Are the former only meant to be installed in Zenology (as in: the Zenology plugin)?
If so, isn't this breaking (or at the very least, "diluting") one of the major advantages of the ZEN* platform - that is, the possibility of having the same patches playing natively on both hardware and software synthesizers?
Regards,

Hey vulpes777 great question! ZENOLOGY Sound Packs use ZEN-Core as a foundation but have been built to specifically work with the hardware that runs ZENOLOGY. This build differs from let's say a FANTOM or JUPITER-Xm because the CPU, memory, etc. are completely different and therefore will use ZEN-Core Sound Packs. Similar to how Windows Apps are built to run natively on Windows, not macOS. The package may be different, but the contents are the same.vulpes777 wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 11:16 am Okay I'm kind of curious, maybe Jon can once again shed some light:

ZENOLOGY Sound Packs are compatible with ZENOLOGY software instruments only (ZENOLOGY Pro, ZENOLOGY, and ZENOLOGY Lite).
This is the first official mention I've been able to find about the sound packs working with ZENOLOGY Lite.
