I heard that the CIA purchased Apple and by extension Camel Audio.
Ben now works as an agent in an Eastern European nation using the name Albert Kemmy.
ZenHippyPunk runs a synth repair shop that is a front where informants drop secret info as Cameron Elspace.

I'm on Mac, use Logic and love Alchemy given as an ad-on. Additionally these Camel guys are updating the Logic FX one by one in a wonderful high quality way. I understand the envy of Windows based users. Logic & Alchemy are really! Pity for you...

That's speculation at it's the Camel guys doing that - the Logic development team have been gradually working through the old Logic plugins and updating hem to have larger, resolution independent interfaces and that process has been ongoing since before the Camel acquisition.martinjuenke wrote:Additionally these Camel guys are updating the Logic FX one by one in a wonderful high quality way.
We don't know what the Camel guys are working on, or that they are on, or still on, the Logic team - certainly it seems the most likely, and certainly their initial task was to integrate Alchemy into Logic - and they have continued to work on Alchemy, fixing issues and so on after that, but what they are doing now is anyone's guess... I hope they continue to be on the Logic team as it gives me a lot of confidence knowing the calibre and ability of those guys...

That's a German saying that doesn't translate all that well into English.
There are so many wonderful plugins out there, no need to cry, cry, cry over Camel selling out to Apple.

OK, some obvious difference:AnX wrote:Too lazyNumanoid wrote:Rewind this thread one and a half yearAnX wrote:Whats diff/new in the 'mac only/logic' version of Alchemy?
Alchemy 1 works as VST for Win/OSX, while Alchemy 2 only works in Logic/GarageBand/etal. You can't buy A2 as a separate plug, it only comes bundled with Apple DAWs.
