As we're sharing theories, mine was much simpler. Each word is linked to a band, the number after it is a character in the band name (including spaces?) and when you put them all together in the order of the prefix number it spells out something (with the 3rd character missing). "TheFexRules" probably.
Hang on, that's got 11 characters...I may be on to something here!

Surfacing - Sarah McLachlin, or possibly The Boomtown Rats (if they're not complete album titles).skipscada wrote:Violator - Depeche Mode
Rattlesnakes - Lloyd Cole & the Commotions
... just a little contribution
Shady must be Eminem, surely? That's where my theory broke down...

What if the prevailing theory is correct, except that 10 isn't an album title at all?

OK, I've got it. The answer is:
"Witness new baby rattlesnakes in Alabama. Enjoy!"
Can I have my points now please?

Ah! These are the tracks from the Tori Amos album 'Strange Little Girl'. The missing one is whatever the name of the album is that 'Strange Little Girl' was on (only compilations I think).

You win, but you lose 4,000,000 points for coming this far and then getting the name of the Tori Amos album wrong. And you have to explain, to put Frank out of his misery.

OK. Explanation - the Tori Amos album (whatever it's called
) is cover versions, and the list is the album track number and the album it was originally on. Track number 3 on the Tori Amos album is 'Strange Little Girl'.
Question to follow.

Mind you, I also rate Spirit Of Eden as the "Best. Album. Ever." and I didn't get that question either...
