Just want to let you know that i have posted some presets for charlatan

Maybe i'm not running the latest version but this plugin guarantees a Live 8 crash when in use. Win 8 64 bit.
Anyone else experiencing crashes in Live?

THK, you really seem to be an expert with KnobMan....... Would love to see some tutorials on creating knobs.........

erm ... actually i used it for the first time

here is what i did:

1.) went to the knob gallery
http://www.g200kg.com/en/webknobman/gallery.php
2.) selected a knob i liked
3.) clicked on "instant rendering"
4.) chose width & height 36, rendering frames 97 (thats what the original 102.png uses)
5.) adjusted background colours so that they are identical to the new background image. (you can easily grab the color code with colorcop ( http://colorcop.net/ ))
6.) click export exec, wait until all frames are rendered. save the png image


hint ... the webknobman site seems to render in wrong size the first time, so just render 2 frames first and then go for the 97 frames because it takes some time. (the downloadable knobman is working in the same way, but is much faster although it has more options)

try it ... shouldn't be too hard

i've started with the init patch and i've checked the velocity button (in the global options), but it still doesnt responds to velocity. what am i doing wrong ?

8 months,before was just a preset addict until began tweaking and a new world opened, its more trial and error.
The first ''love'' was trancedrive for wich did the first 2 soundbanks, then did 2 banks for the new Red Dragon 2, Preparing a bank for mausynth ( Presets already finished, just naming and last tweaks), did a bank for the new hydi wich has to be readjusted to the new version wich is coming.
And of course charlatan that has been a revelation. Have material for 2 other banks and this time more percussion ,fx and pads.

Oh and here I thought you did all the layers yourself....... Thanks for the tutorial. I managed to do about a dozen so far but none that I like better than the original. The Little Phatty seemed to work really well though.......

(I'm rendering the Sherman knob now but doubt it will work.......)

I don't like the partial white line around the edge.......and I couldn't get the proper color orange to fit the skin I'm using. I went back to the original knobs but like I said the Little Phatty version works pretty well....

I was mucking about with Layzer's white skin with the Lil Phatty knobs but it seems too much of a clash between retro and modern:




There are several knobs at the gallery that look cool but when downsized to 36/36 lose a lot of their character.......


Here's what I've chosen to use. It fits perfectly with Bones' XTRO skin for Orion and the Blue Cat chorus....which by the way sounds awesome with Charlatan...

nice !! i like the layerz mod. if you want to get rid of the white line around the sherman knob, open the knob in the regular knobman app. you can simply try to disable that layer. knobman is way faster and has a lot more options to modify the knob.
