Any chance that those not getting sampletank are:

a. Trying to load it under x64 (there is no bridge in S2)

b. Not having this problem

thanks for pointing this out. very weird - hopefully there is an official fix for this soon!
BTW: does S1 two install side by side to an existing vers1, or does it replace it?

Other than the initial bugs and growing pains (and zombies!) S2 (can we just call it that from now on

S2 sounds good to me! Apart from that, let's really hope there is just minor issues (or even better: none) in S2 - and not the plugins we use.

For example, I just spent 3 hours reinstalling Komplete 7 from scratch - it disappeared for NO reason I can think of! It worked yesterday, today it doesn't show in any of my hosts.. We live in a complex world.. grrrrrrrr

That sucks!

Yeah, S2, the biggy for me is the (now very well known) cpu spikes with K4/5 (not everything but allot) and Predator (the cpu literally dances to the beat

)

Other than that so far mostly it works well. Still nowhere near as efficient as the reap though (but that video was PRICELESS!)

I'm fairly confident these CPU issues will be fixed very soon! So just hang in there for a while, I know this sucks but what can you do.

I don't know how long it will take, but yeah........someone somewhere is going to figure it out.

The problem really is that some people are having those issues that have NOTHING to do with S2 (or S1)

THAT leads me to believe that NI is at the very least partly to blame and THAT will be a HUGE bottleneck

I found another trick: wrap SampleTank with jBridge (yes, a 32bit->32bit "bridge") and S1 will find it even without admin privileges. The same works for CSR.

mmm...I'll give it a go. I think a toggle switch should be added at some point though. It seems like a basic omission.

Still haven't hit the buy button yet because I'm not 100% sure if S1 2.0 Producer (calling it S2 would actually imply that its called Studio Two) is worth getting without the extra features of Pro. What are the chances of maybe a $99 special offer upgrade price at some point? I have artist & know about the upgrade to pro 1 then pro 2 via audiomidi & as much as I'd love to, its just not an option for me right now. I'm sure I could swing the $99 upgrade for producer, just wanted to hear what you opinions might be on it first?

Studio One V2 Details
