I guess tronam meant me cause I don't wish them their best. I was being ott of course but I don't wish them anything at all as I simply couldn't care less about it anymore. I've officially lost interest and could or would never possibly support such an unreliable company because I think even if turns out great that it would be a terrible investment as I simply do not trust them one iota. They haven't given me the slightest reason to have any confidence in them. Not once.

Well I was going to hold out for it, but gave up and put my money into Ableton Live instead, but that doesn't mean I don't wish them well - I hope they do well, but I know I'm far from alone in giving up on considering their DAW for me.

To be honest though, I think you get too personally offended by companies not being perfect. To me (and I think most people) it's not the end of the world if something doesn't turn out to be what the company said it would be (or when in this case). Can't you just say good luck to them and forget about what might have been?

Well I can't believe I am saying this, me, with all the vapourware jokes I have thrown at bitwig. But with my recent disillusion at logic, if bitwig get this right, there really is a chance for it to be spectacular. Maybe it really IS taking so long cause they want it to be perfec. Maybe it will have amazing performance on mac.. For example. Who knows if they were close to release then realised they'd need some sort of hybrid engine to compete performance wise with logic and cubase? This would take a lot of coding to implement. Or who knows if they realised pdc and automation wasn't flawless and they needed to make sure it was? To not have any downfall in regards that area? I have started being really positive about it that maybe its taking so long cause its simply gonna be that damn good.

Do you mean Cubase performance on mac or windows? I thought Cubase performance was known to be really bad on mac...

Maybe I just take it too personally but here goes for anyone that wants to bother reading...these bitwig threads are strictly for fun. I do think it's sad that some people take it so seriously. It was funny back then, it's funny now. I think that most peoples comments were just very TNC and not meant to be taken overly seriously. I can't bother.....I've probably changed my mind since then.

And for the haters of funny/wise-guys, fair enough. I'm sure it seems endless.....almost like the wait for bitwig

IF Bitwig has PDC working flawlessly with Propellerheads Reason I will most likely be jumping ship and postponing all further Ableton purchases.

Until then I am going to be waiting to upgrade to Live 9 suite.

The Bitwig folks don't owe anyone anything. People who manufacture drama around stuff like this are often the same kind of fickle people that endlessly move from host to host, never satisfied, always obsessing over some problem that apparently makes it "impossible" for them to make music, which they'll blame on the host. This gives them an excuse to procrastinate and avoid the actual laborious creative process of making music, instead spending their time ranting on Internet forums and continually being on the lookout for some future perfect program that'll magically make them more creative.

Did you bother to check exactly who 'announced' Bitwig to come out 'real soon now'?

@VitaminD: I wouldn't like it much either, which is why I occasionally moderate and qualify my comments, but (assuming the cause was not out of their control), I'd also know I kinda caused it, and I'd maybe speak directly to it a bit better than they appear to have done.

Their problem isn't the KVR cats. It's people who actually want it (not me) maybe getting tired of waiting and buying something else. In a very real way - to those people - it's like a date that won't put out.

To me, it's just funny cats, not real frustration.

It's amazing how two simple words "Coming Soon", can have so much power.

I think we'll see it before XMas.

I'm sorry, but I read VitaminD's comments and all I can think is what a load of self loathing BS. I'm sorry, but a thread of cats that keep bitwig in constant sight and conversation can't be frustrating for anyone.


WE SHOULD BE CHARGING Bitwig to keep these threads going with cats, lolz, photoshopped images, gifs and whatever other shenanigans anyone can think of.

As for the whole idea of them having done something, ANYTHING wrong is also a load of BS. Bitwig will be released and anyone including the kings of flip flops will be trying this out just like anyone else.

Theo... Yeah you too. Once released, you'll be trying that demo too. I don't care what you say to the contrary. If it's as good as they promise, then I'm betting you'll be a buyer like many others too.
