You can imagine the tragic cnut running around the 18th century going "That was mine. I wrote that."

lol, funny, but the reality is probably slightly different: if it's really somebody else who wrote it (and it's not sure at all), the poor c**t probably wanted his music to be heard and played, so he used the name of a famous composer (Bach was famous during his life) to give a chance to his music.

times have changed, now the name is more important than the music.

No, its not. I've been beta-testing since around v2.0 and the beta boards were up and running well before I got there.
Hell, you still won't admit that any bugs exist in Orion, LOL. So how then were you reporting bugs that you didn't know existed?
We report plenty of bugs and Rich always fixes them. Th eonly time something gets out is when he is impatient and doesn't give us enough time to test thoroughly.
After the beta forum was created I continued to report bug after bug, nothing changed and Rich even stated publicly at one point that the beta testers were not on the job.
And duly got rid of those who had dropped out and invited new blood aboard.
And during that time you continued to deny and dispute everything I said. So either you're a very very big hypocrite, or you haven't found a single bug in Orion.
I've found plenty of reproducible bugs and every one of them has been fixed.
Soon, there won't be an Orion for you to defend as people are already starting to wonder about.
There will always be ORION because it already does everything I need it to. There has been little [apart from new instruments and efects] added over the last few years that I need or use, so I see no time in the future that I would need anything else, even if development were to stop today.

I was too busy yesterday but I cannot believe there are another half-dozen pages. I'm certainly done but that never stops me.

I nominate myself as the Reason representative, and I'm sure Chase will love to do FL Studio :). Kriminal and BONES can fight out who does Orion, and we'll need somebody stupid enough to do Storm Studio.

A well-known song we could use? Any ideas?
I don't mind, as long as it has vocals and guitar. But it will need to be full-length, not just a minute. And Krim gets my vote.

I used to work for this guy called Ken Davis, who used to be the official demo artist for the Fairlight CMI. He swears blind that Blue Monday was one of his demo pieces and he demo'd to New Order before they wrote/released it. It wouldn't surprise me either as it has his sound and was something quite different for them at the time. [Plus he is a very honest man.]

It wouldn't surprise me. It kinda goes with the territory in that business.
I wonder how mant tunes Eric Persing could lay claim to? For starters there's a massive advert/club/chart crossover tune that's straight out of StylusRMX.

Damn! 40 pages and going strong? And not locked yet. Must be a record for a Host War thread.

Half-Life! As a Movie! :)

I think it wouldnt matter if the song had vocals or guitar as long as those elements aren't in the final versions or at least transferred over to a different instrument. That'll keep it fair, methinks.

Any song suggestions? :)

halflife as a movie? lol thats from Alien. Half life is mostly borrowed.

lol ... either way its funny.

Hey, Chase, since you're our FL guy in this contest, do you know of a song? :)

I don't mind as long as the guitar and the vocals are self-recorded! :P

b.t.w.: what about 'kids in America' or 'celebrate youth'?

or maybe an individual 3rd party here will provide an mp3 of one of his songs that nobody else in the world has heard yet :)
