I tried that, but then I had to kill auxhost in Task Manager, otherwise it just froze.

I am using Cubase Studio 4.5.2 x64.

I will email you :)

I will try bridging the Waveshells this time

EDIT: Well no luck there. Same thing.

Post

Sorry i've been out.

A few more things to try:
- Try renaming the bridging files so that they match exactly Omnisphere's plugin name ( if they don't already ).

NOT SEEN

- Make sure that Cubase isn't scanning the plugins that you want to bridge, to avoid conflicts, only their bridging files.

IF I TAKE THEM OUT CUBASE ASKS FOR THE ORIGINAL NON JBRIDGED PLUGINS PATH

- Make sure you created the correct bridging files, according to your main host's architecture ( 32bit or 64bit ).

ITS CORRECT

Are those the only plugins you're trying to bridge? If not, all the other ones are recognized?

ONLY SPECTRASONICS FAIL, THE REST IS FINE

Hi.

I am not sure if this message is coming from Cubase, but you'll surely see this message with my application if you move the plugin's dll somewhere else without re-creating its correspondent bridging files ( Maybe it was what happened? ).

Ok i was just trying to put the dlls out of the path instead of unticking the vsti on the plugins list for recognition inside cubase.

Doesnt work anyway. I think it can be related to a bit of a messy insatallation of these plugins with updates, etc. not to jbridge itself.

Hi umd,

I am currently working with Cubase x64 and jbridging a lot of x32 plug-ins, most of them Waves7 plug-ins. I can see in task manager that there is a huge auxhost.exe process which contains all the Waves plug-ins (approx. 650 MB). When I shut down Cubase, it takes a very long time to unload all the Waves plug-ins, so the auxhost process gets smaller and smaller. But then, when the process is about 200 MB, Cubase quits and the auxhost process is still there. It remains "forgotten", cause when I start Cubase anew, there will be another auxhost process carrying the Waves plug-ins, and the remaining old one will never change again.

Any ideas about that?

Best, XL

Hello. :-)

PM me with your user details, I have something for you try ( been investigating the slow unloading issue here ).

Are you also getting any error message?

@eddu:

Sorry, I missed your last post, were you able to get it to work meanwhile?

Win7x64, cubase 5.5.2 x64, JBridge v1.27 (emailed).

Plugins which resizes their windows, like Reaktor 5.5.1 result in a not proper displayed jBridged gui when doing so.
Closing and reopening the Plugin restores the GUI though.

Tried all GUI switches in jBridge settings without luck.

What is the current Version?

Post

Hello.

This is unfortunately a known issue, but I've been trying to find a workaround for it, please email or pm me with your user details, I am currently testing a fix for it and would like to send you a test build, if you don't mind.

Another project ruined. :-o
I'm still using jbridge v1.2, recently another project with Spectrasonics plugins got Stylus RMX and Omnisphere settings gone. I saved Omni and RMX as Multis before because this problem is common, but when I try to load the Multis they don't get loaded!! So the problem is somewhere even before, this bug doesn't even let Multis to get saved. so this Multi saving isn't a workaround!

Hi.

In your case, is this problem random or it happens consistently?

PM me with your user details, I'd like to try something.

Cubase 6 x64 with jbridged x32 plugs.

While initialization: "This plugin is not processReplacing capable - force flag?" --- What's that? I never saw that before...

While initialization: Some plugs (KORG LegacyCell, MS-20) now produce "Buffer overrun detected!" (Plugin could not be loaded) I have never seen that before...

While initialization: WaveShell 7 -> "Could not load the plugin" (whatever that means...)

Oh Steinberg, never change a running system...

Hi.

That message comes from some test build I sent you, for sure.

As for the rest, it would be better if you email me back with all the content of the previous emails we exchanged before, as you may understand. That way I can keep track of what have I tried already to address that specific problem.

Hi,
I've got some trouble with Waves 8 which didn't work with Cubase 5.5.2.
I finally sorted it out doing this:
-Installed Waves v8
-Installed jbridge version
-Deleted the new v8 dll & txt files in the 64bits Jbridge Folder
-Renamed the old jbridged v7 dll & txt files with the new V8 names in this Folder

Now it works, new plugins and new skins from Waves V8 are available in Cubase

jbridger does not recognize waveshell 8 as a plug-in, you need to deselect 'thorough file analysis' to get a waveshell 8 .64.dll file. in your case, cubase still thinks it is working with waves 7, and that there is no need to re-scan the plug-ins. i had some problems with waves 8 during re-scanning the plug-ins, but finally got cubase 6 x64 to recognize them all.
