It may also help you identify with other GAS sufferers.hibidy wrote:But that is a trick right? If you buy the book, you are still gassing a bit, besides, no one would ever read it because they'd get bored and go gas over some new guitar!musikmachine wrote:There is help! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/141166 ... 1411661796

Fair play to trimph1
a good lady who sorts stuff out (need to get me one of them). hibidy is going on about the Line-6 POD HD now also which i am hoping to put off until january but i doubt i will manage that. Tomorrow the order is:
Zoom H2 Mini recorder SDHC thing (need a cheap but half decent field recorder and this one is a win on numerous levels
and it will be the first thing i have purchased by 'Zoom' since their early to mid 90's ultra nasty guitar multi-fx
i still have one fine example of shit multi-fx by teh almighty Zoom)
Sennheiser evolution e900 Series e906 Dynamic Mic x2 (Specifically for guitar/bass cabinets surprise, surprise)
Sennhieser evolution Series e600 e606 Dynamic Mic x2 (Same as the above but a cheaper varient, although both should work on toms and whatnot also. I just really like the sound of these and also the design plus the price is good. They will last for ages/forever also)
The e606: http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/ho ... lution-600
The e906:
http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/ho ... lution-900
That comes in at just under £500 but if i were to try a POD HD 500 out by chance and happen to like it then it could easily double
If so that is me DONE until Janaury, Actually either way i am DONE until January my fellow GAS Guzzling friends
So this is my one last stand...Wish me luck
hibidy your killing me dude on the POD HD front - Well played
I deserve it for the Ibby baiting!

C'mon guys we all know that to buy more gear (sooner or later) is an inevitable fact of live for us electronic musicians -- almost as sure as death and taxes -- so we don't even need to promise -- it's gonna happen for sure sooner or later as long as we're still alive ... it's a force of nature, an inevitable consequence of our existence, a fatality of life, it's written in our destiny, etc, etc....
EDIT: oups... this was to be posted in the "I promise I WILL Buy more gear" thread, but anyway... it goes well in this one too...

Relapse Report. I am happily getting worse: MorphoX is mine!
Of course it is The Devil in disguise but I am such a weak person. A victim of the circumstances.

FAIL! (me I'm talking about)
I'm too eclectic. I need to be pick a f**king genre for a month at a time and really work on it.....
I got rock, I got jazz, I got experimental, I got weird, I've got electronic.......
I've got all the f**king toys.......and I do work on stuff but I always feel I'm still learning everything and not finishing stuff.......
round and round I go......"hi I'm hibidy, gear HO!"

Bloody hell, I spent over 2k in the last month alone on gear.
Markbass combo, Fender Jazz bass, Ebs MicroBass and Multicomp, sold a few bits, too, otherwise I couldn't do it...
It was only a week after I persuaded myself not to buy anything until 2011...
