Plus, there were hardly any restrictions to the demo version. Didn't you test it before buying? It's a simple synth, not a complex suite where you might discover shortcomings only after some time...
If you feel like you really must sell it, nobody can stop you since there is a new EU law saying you may sell used software licenses. Nor is there any mechanism keeping you from simply selling your key to someone else. Just be decent enough to uninstall and no longer use your own copy. And if you got your copy at the introductory price, don't sell it for more than that, this is not a stock exchange
Thanks man.

No I didn't test it. But I learnt my lesson and will never buy anything before testing first. I just wanted another toy to play with. That's kinda my weak spot. Cheap VSTs sigh.

I think $40 is a good price. I don't wanna make profit but sell it to someone who appreciate it more than I do.

Um, that was only my opinion. I am not the one to decide that, why don't you contact the developer and ask him directly?

TAL-U-NO-LX V2
We currently working on a free update for all TAL-U-NO-LX owners. We did some improvements to the GUI and working on a warmer filter sound, especially at extreme values.

Following sample shows the improved filter compared to the Juno 60. Both played with full resonance and the same settings:

We will release the update in a few days or weeks.

It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!

The new sound seems to have more high frequencies. I wonder what the difference will be like with "normal" sounds like pads, strings, etc. We will see :)

Anyway, the new GUI looks nice with its black background, the contrast is better :) And it's still lighter on the filter frequency scale, just like before 8)

The current sound with matching parameters is extremely close already, very slight difference in ADSR attack. This may close the 2% hardware gap.

I have no idea, I never had a Juno, so nothing to compare... I don't really care whether or not it is an accurate emulation, as long as it is fun to program and sounds good, and it does :)

That is also the reason I don't spend much money on synths. As soon as your music has a certain number of tracks the fine sound details of all those synths out there shrink considerably. Music in the past did not sound better because the equipment was better and thus needed to be emulated today, but because people made better music.

Music was better because we only hear the "better" music. It's not like media is bombarding us with all the massproduced crap from yesteryear.

Anyway.. looking forward to the new UI!

When the Juno 60 was launched, there was much less mass production. Back then studio time was still expensive, homerecording was much more expensive than today and the quality often only sufficed to make demo tapes. Thus those who actually made it into the record stores, were on average much more talented than today. Today anyone with a few hundreds bucks to spare can make music, which in technical terms is not far from studio quality. But musically speaking it's a different story...

That has so nothing at all to do with you saying that people made better music in the past.... but i don't think you can see why the logic is flawed either ... so ... what to do? :?

Indeed, I can't see any flawed logic, probably because there is no flawed logic :D
For various reasons the average musician, or should I say maker of music, in the 70s and 80s was more talented and capable than today, and it showed in the average level of music, not just in the best music of both periods. That is my point...

wow, ok so, never owned an analog hw synth before but im having a difficult time finding a real difference in the analog hw synth demos on youtube and the uno lx.

I see a bright future for TAL. ;) This really sounds rather awesome for a VSTi already, but I'm looking forward very much to this update anyway. The GUI really looks like I turned up the brightness on my monitor. :hihi:

I really hope TAL will make some more synths like this in the future. Go TAL! :tu: :)

Cheers!

The primary differences are simple:
~ no noise on the outputs, and
~ this weighs about 75 lbs less than the hardware
