I would like them to add a parameter lock function so I could completely disable all their onboard effects - like U-he, like Sampletank/Syntronik, like Oberhausen. I'd also like to not keep turning "full range" on every single time on the DX7.

Yeah a Lock feature on FX would be great.

Yeah im thinking the same. V9 wasn’t worth the upgrade from v8 for me and if the upgrade price I’ve been offered for fX4 is anything to go by (pretty rubbish deal compared to folks with far fewer Arturia fx than I’ve bought) I will probably skip V10 too.
Conversely v8 had so much new stuff I’ve not really scratched the surface. There’s more than enough stuff in V8 to keep me going for a long time. I should really make the most of all that stuff first and I have plenty of other VIs too. But then again new and shiny is hard to resist sometimes.
I’d probably bite at €99 if there are any compelling synths in V10 but anymore than that and I’m likely to skip it.

The argument against Arturia charging for upgrades is invalid.
When an instrument you own gets an update, it’s free. The V Collection “upgrade” is for the new plugins they’ve added. By buying them together as a collection, they’re a lot cheaper than buying them individually. So for $199 you are getting $400 or $500 worth of new plugins had you bought them separately. That’s your V Collection upgrade.
If you don’t want the new models, don’t upgrade your collection. You’ll still get your updates.

And if you don't want the new stuff that bad, wait for a half off sale like black friday or something, usually cuts the upgrade in half too.

No, but when I asked the normal release time the answer was December.
So I guess one last big discount for 9 is coming on Black Friday, then 10 will follow. Hey, imagine if they announced a grace period...

I fully expect this too, and likely 10 will start off with a discount price. But no grace period, yeah.noiseboyuk wrote: Sat Oct 21, 2023 12:02 amNo, but when I asked the normal release time the answer was December.
