Didn't want to demo this for fear of buying it (I really don't need to spend the money right now), but after 40 pages of discussion, about 10 of which I've read, I think I just might demo this when I get home.

Anybody else find it impossible to input the serial into the authorization screen? I keep clicking/doubleclicking/yelling at the xxxx fields to no avail. I cant cutnpaste anything in there either

What host are you using? I remember experiencing issues in Ableton Live, but that was with version 1.0 of Aether.

If you have access, try using another host to authorize.

I tried ableton live, reaper, and some barebones vst host called VSThost

I think I either got it to work in Reaper or maybe it was Cantabile light. It's been a while, so sorry I don't remember correctly.

Another quick question... in Live, did you turn off the use of computer keyboard to be used as a piano keyboard by clicking on the piano key icon in the upper right corner of Live? Otherwise, hopefully someone else can chime in if they had the same issue and how they fixed it. It's been too long for me to remember correctly.

Hmm... I just tried and successfully completed a fresh authorization in Live 8.1.3 and all worked fine. It was a matter of double clicking on each box, entering the code (I did this manually, so I don't know if copy and paste works), and then clicking "Enter," when finished... Sorry for repeating all of this if you have tried exactly this, but thought I'd post what worked for me.

I've found lately (Vista, W7) that running the host (or installer) in admin mode can eliminate a lot of installation and registration woes. I tried to install the 1.5 demo many times but nothing installed until I ran it in admin mode under W7.

im on xp. is there something like that in xp? I never heard of admin mode on here. i think its on by default

Not to sure. I'm just talking about right click (e.g. on minihost.exe) and 4th from the top is run as administrator. I had to run Melodyne like that to register it. And I had to run the Aether demo like that to get it to install. Maybe there is something in (right click) properties so you can run a program in admin mode. Good luck.

Is 2C's Aether REALLY worth it? (the answer is: yes, certainly)
