It's totally OK to be obsessed with the search for the perfect filter(s!!!!). Those reverb freaks are weird, thoughShabdahbriah wrote:Truth be told, I'm finding it somewhat comforting to know there are sooo many other filter whores, salivating over this.
"Enthusiasm" for an objective potential, is always welcome.

Agreed... what they are really lusting for is called "delay".Sendy wrote:It's totally OK to be obsessed with the search for the perfect filter(s!!!!). Which curiously, seems consistent with (waiting for) perfect filters.

Cool just tried midi side-chaining in logic. It works really well, so much easier than they way it is in Etch. But it only works with mono-sources. I also had to set up envelope 2 to control the Post output to tame floating resonant howls that would appear at the end of notes (so in effect the envelope becomes a gate on the audio output). Sounds great tho with just some stock saw waves coming out of the Logic ES2 synth.

The Drop v0.9.3 is ready for download for both Win and Mac users:
https://cytomic.com/drop-public-beta-ready
Win Rtas users can you please let me know if this works for you since I wasn't able to test it myself, and I had to use a new compiler which is always a dangerous proposition with the RTAS SDK.
Today has been quite frustrating for me. What I expected to be a 1 hour job suddenly became quite complicated. Firstly windows decided to un-authorise itself, so I had to phone Microsoft to get them to authorise it again. Then I went to purchase the full version of the Visual Studio 2010 compiler I had all tested and working builds with only to find Microsoft wouldn't let me buy it any more since they had a new product out now and didn't want to sell me the old one! So I had to download the new product, install it, and get new builds compiled and tested with it, so all up not a very fun day.
