That's the one on their site - I don't have a 3.6.0

Weird, I swear the last time I looked it was listed as just 3.6, so I didn't bother downloading it. Then the members site went offline and I assumed whatever was there had gone forever.

If you have the license issue it neither works with 3.6 nor 3.6.2. You have to go back to 3.5. Be sure to delete the 3.6.x plugins manually before installing 3.5 if you are on a Mac. The installers does not install an older version over a newer one.aMUSEd wrote:That's the one on their site - I don't have a 3.6.0

I won't say what is more heartless, self-centered now.jacqueslacouth wrote:chk071 wrote: even if you're on your deathbed with cancer (which i of course don't hope to be the case), you can ALWAYS ask someone if he can't get an official statement out on your behalf.
Because that is clearly what is on the mind of someone dying of cancer...Are you freakin' serious you heartless, self-centred knob?

OK thanks - so much for paying to upgrade to cover the .dat license system when it doesn't even work properlymgw38 wrote:If you have the license issue it neither works with 3.6 nor 3.6.2. Did not realize that this was a paid upgrade.aMUSEd wrote:OK thanks - so much for paying to upgrade to cover the .dat license system when it doesn't even work properlymgw38 wrote:If you have the license issue it neither works with 3.6 nor 3.6.2. Which was the version of Vertigo v3 you had to pay for an upgrade of - in my mind it was v3.5 -> v3.6 but maybe not....

So do you get that error when you drag the license.dat directly onto the GUI as well? How big is your license key: should be exactly 1023 bytes.

Size is right, dragging it onto the gui does nothing.mcbpete wrote:So do you get that error when you drag the license.dat directly onto the GUI as well? How big is your license key: should be exactly 1023 bytes.

Weird, that should be the alternative method of importing the license (are you running you DAW in admin mode but logged in as a basic user, or vice versa. If so drag and drop may not work) . What does it say in near the bottom of the log file regarding the license (should be in the same location as your licence.dat (i.e. %userprofile%\documents\discoDSP\Vertigo )
Mine has the line (right after it appears to load the factory bank 001. Factory\BAS AnalogBassA.vpf...):
Vertigo> Plugin: License file at C:\Users\mcbpete\Documents\discoDSP\Vertigo\License.dat is Valid...

What is your UID on the Mac? (Type "id -u" into Terminal and hit return, it will give you a three digit number that is normally 501). I've tried it on another machine that I thought might give me trouble, where the admin user UID is 504, and it didn't disappoint, so I'm wondering if the cause is the same. It doesn't see to be a regular permissions issue.

You're assuming that only George could do that?wagtunes wrote: he had enough presence to put "temporary" on the site

Wait ... Why's it looking for License.dat.txt .... it should just be Licence.dat. However in which case this might be the solution .... add .txt to the license filename and see what happensaMUSEd wrote:Vertigo> Plugin: Cannot find valid license file at /Users/st_ephen/Documents/discoDSP/Vertigo/License.dat.txt...
