The tooltips on Rev 14628 on Mac, are not readable. They are showing up as white on yellow, and there's not enough contrast to make anything out.

I am testing in BigSur and it shows correctly. You can turn off popup tooltips from Settings:User Interfaceteilo wrote: Sun Jan 14, 2024 11:22 pm The tooltips on Rev 14628 on Mac, are not readable. They are showing up as white on yellow, and there's not enough contrast to make anything out.

Not implemented yetmaxym.srpl wrote: Sun Jan 14, 2024 10:42 pm Is there a known issue with importing SM2 presets to SM3?
I have a preset that crashes SM3.

It seems that if the main program (not the .vst3 and the vst2 .dll files) is installed on another partition/drive and not in the default location (C:\Program Files\KV331 Audio\SynthMaster3) the plugin will not work.
I tried installing SM3 on my D: partition (D:\- Audio\KV331 Audio\SynthMaster3) and both Bitwig and Reaper didn't load the plugins (neither vst3 nor vst2) and I got the following error message from Bitwig when scanning the plugins:
I then reinstalled the program in the default location and everything's fine.

Incorrect. the dll files and application folders can be in different drives.KTlin wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2024 11:36 am It seems that if the main program (not the .vst3 and the vst2 .dll files) is installed on another partition/drive and not in the default location (C:\Program Files\KV331 Audio\SynthMaster3) the plugin will not work.

If you change the data folder, please edit
c:\users\public\public documents\synthmaster3\synthmaster3folders.txt
the vst2 dll can be installed anywhere, make sure your DAW scans that folder.

When you run the installer, it writes the path to SynthMaster3Folders.txt

Thank you for speeding up the plugin loading time. Not it takes a fraction of a second.
With the new build, however, pitch-bent and modulation wheels disappeared. Just a FYI.
Also have a question: in SM2 particular filters provide overdrive features with a graphically managed curve. In SM3 I cannot find this overdrive. Is it not implemented yet, or hidden somehow?

The overdrive curve you mentioned is moved to Waveshapers in SM3 (you can connect them before or after the filter). I am working on importing SM2 presets as I write this and hopefuly by the end of the week it will be working.maxym.srpl wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2024 12:39 pm Also have a question: in SM2 particular filters provide overdrive features with a graphically managed curve. Now I figured how to reproduce that one: It happens on Windows with UI scales larger than 100%maxym.srpl wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2024 12:39 pm With the new build, however, pitch-bent and modulation wheels disappeared. Just a FYI.

I have come across this one also some time ago.
This is not caused by your own code. It is (another) bug of Steinberg's VSTGUI... It appears only if you run MacOS in dark mode. If I remember correctly Steinberg always changes the font color of the tooltip to yellow while not changing the background color.
I can check out what I changed and can send you a fix. It was just one line to change.
Cheers!

Yes, indeed. I'm Windows with 150 or 175% (not sure which one). Those controls were present in the previous build and disappeared in the most recent one. Haven't idea it might be related to OS settings. Otherwise, I would have provided more details. Sorry for that.kv331 wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2024 2:00 pm Now I figured how to reproduce that one: It happens on Windows with UI scales larger than 100%
Thank you. Indeed the approach with waveshapers gives more flexibility.kv331 wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2024 2:00 pm The overdrive curve you mentioned is moved to Waveshapers in SM3 (you can connect them before or after the filter). Looking forward to the import from the SM2 feature. Thank you.

Wird so gemacht: "Save", dann "Upload to Public User Library".
Vielen Dank für eure Unterstützung.

I am indeed using Dark Mode. And one correction: The background always stays yellow. It is only the text that changes to white when in dark mode, making the text unreadable.Tone2 Synthesizers wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2024 2:26 pmHi Kv331kv331 wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2024 5:53 amI am testing in BigSur and it shows correctly.
