Softube Model 84 (Juno 106)

Would it be worth it to get Softube Modular if I just want use the standard modules they include plus the Model 84 modules? They're having a sale now and it's $49.

Softube Modular is the best-sounding software modular I've heard, hands-down.

I would demo first, the workflow is awful compared to other virtual modulars.

Is it easy to use if you have Model 84? Do you just navigate to a certain folder to find the modules? I am not too much of a modular guy and never used Softube Modular. I just would like the option to create what I want using the Model 84 modules.

How can I do my own presets with this thing? I don't understand.

Can't save anything or rewrite names..

I'm trying that but cannot write anything. New preset name text stays there no matter what I do. Save as is always greyed.

Edit: Through preset collection I managed to save.

Anyway thanks! Not my brightest moment.

The fact that you need to click a button to remove or move a module is really bad. The fact that they don’t have a lot of basic functionality, like a cv controllable mixer is really bad. I could go on, but those two things are some of what makes Softube Modular more difficult to work with than its competitors.

Man I just bought the 84 like last week for $80 WTF. For another $20 I would've bought both of these had the sale started.

Wow i have to admit im impressed by this and the other Softube models. For whatever reason i was too busy or not taking notice when i first saw them.

Very fine Juno emulation, I also like the chorus. Model 72 (Minimoog) is also great. Model 80 (Prophet 5) I definitely have to test, could perhaps replace the U-He Repro.
