Could someone please explain anti-loop snobbery?

I mean, the breakbeats that are sampled can be looped, or they can be completely deconstructed and reformed into new rhythms. But most of them, in their original context (the sampled record), they were just "breaks" in the record where the drummer played a funkier version of the main drum riff for a few bars. So I'm not sure that in most cases that counts as a loop, even if we now have to potential to sample and loop it (or, as the original b-boy DJ's did in the 80's, buy two copies of the record and crossfade back and fourth to loop them).
