For the fX it would be great on the acoustic reverb to have a kill the feedback with MIDI just like the delay for a clean mix. Or it would be great to have a noise gate to a a clean sound for mixing

Put a ministop at the end of the master chain, shortest down speed and kill any tail with midi control, if the AA builtin sidechain triggers & ducker doesn't cut it for you.

If I have 2 or more patches which I like and want to "merge" them into one patch. Then a "slot lock" could be activated so that next loaded patch only loads into next available free slot.

Possible?

I have such feature on a drum machine I'm using frequently, maybe it is possible to apply for Avenger as well?. But of course, it has a very complex architecture, but maybe a developer can find a way to achieve that.

Cheers.
Anyone?
wont be possible EVER. I explained it somewhere already in detail here but dont remember where in the +300 pages, so here is the short version:
you open a preset which has a routing into special things, for example arp 1, ModEnv 1,2 and 3, Pitch Envelope 1 and 2, some reverb effects in FX Slot 1 etc... now you open another preset, and this one uses Arp 1,2,3, Mod Env1, Pitch Envelope 1, 2 and 3 and it uses different FX on all 4 FX slots.
Now how should we merge this into one???
You wont save anything either, CPU wise. It will take the same amount of CPU, if you just open another instance of Avenger

Yes, Avenger is quite complex, I guess it is easier to just open another instance in new track then.

Thank you for taking your time and answer this again :tu:

I think we shouls be really happy about the passion and love manuel puts in this vst!

I still wish for my only points for more sampler options only ping pon and backwards/forwards looping but so far it is awesome.

Great idea! I'm currently working on typical 80's drum sounds. This requires tons of reverb and a noise gate. Maybe you could pack a slimmed down version of the noise gate from the EFX2 bundle into Avenger. This would be really nice. Phil Collins would also be happy about it! :)

Post

you could use an mod env for open close the gate i think

Post

yes this could be solved by mod matrix assignments. You could use a mod env, or a simple routing like this

- create the Reverb in a SEND FX slot
- set SEND FX output to the FX2 Tab
- on FX2 tab, create a a Trancegate FX and select for example StepSQ 1

now you can control the reverb tail with your trancegate StepSQ 1
you could also do more crazy things, like adding Bitcrusher, Chorus, Phaser or an EQ etc... on the reverb tail

but however, we think about adding a Cutted-Reverb as effect type

Post

Thanks guys! Really helpful, will check it out now!

Edit:
Works quite well. In the method with the trancegate, decay replaces the release time. You just have to see that the hall flag is not too long, because otherwise after each run in the gate, the decaying hall flag is briefly heard again.

A built-in noise gate is of course very welcome! Then you could adjust the release a bit better and you save the routing and a FX Slot. Nevertheless, nothing to complain about, everything works great here!
Thank you guys for your fabulous support!

Thanks for the tips and the chorus at the end great idea. Adding a cutted reverb will be amazing then no more automation. I just saw KSHMR reverb video trick and I am pretty sure he would love this new cutted-reverb too. :tu: thanks guys

Haaaaa! Now this one I just might buy (despite my claw digits criticism earlier). Though... I'll only feel the need to load this skin every October.

LOL, none of these skins look nice or pro. Certainly turns this monster synth in a childs toy. This synth needs proper, serious skin...

But, on end, to each his own.
