Goals are a distraction from the way there, so no. I'd rather enjoy the scenery.

*blush* The IQ tests I've taken were all wildly inaccurate; can't explain why. The correct measure is three points. But I'm not humble about it, quite proud to have a measurable IQ at all! =^_^=

I see myself back in Vancouver in my old neighborhood, Kitsilano, with my sailboat back at Jericho Beach and my mountain bike my only 2 means of transport to and from Wreck Beach, just like the good old days (and a jeep for necessities), all financed by a reasonable regular modest income from musical artistry and creativity, from my home studio with adequate support. And maybe some live creative mutual enjoyments at small secluded cafes.

One loft in particualr is near the beach, simple, yet charming with hard wood floors and pine furniture. Corner of Third and Trafalgar, if I have the coordinates correct after all these years.

that is really funny man. i'm heading out of vancouver next week to pursue my goals and "make things happen". but whenever i make enough money i'm heading back here and hope to live a dream similar to what you describe. it's just weird cause i've been doing a lot of thinking lately and you just wrote it all out for me.

To finally make more money on music than I spend on it.

I'm sorry if that sounds all commercial, but I have been doing the starving artist thing for over 15 years, and it is no longer inspiring.

Amen.
Oh well, having good sex is something not all that bad either. Maybe related to good health.
Maybe related to making music as well, but as of lately, the gals don't seem to love guitarmen as much anymore as they used to...

In five years I hope to be proficient in most jazz and blues scales... Hopefully I will have the 12 songs I want to put on a CD complete by then too...

no they don't - you got this right - if you are into metal and stuff forget it but if you are into funk and neo-jazz (and the like) impressing girls might still work pretty well... :hihi:

(a haircut might do wonders though...)

Have another example. Son of me sister, just 15, is the charm of his school - even more - since girls saw him playing guitar (and singing). Dunno about haircut, Sascha and Jens, cause I never saw a photo of you :D , but guitars MUST be good for our wishes (no LECHZ-emoticon here) cause he took my Samick with him (I got 2 though  ) and I got him another one, and now he has not enough days to meet all of the girls who like to meet him....

keyboard playing is out, concerning our theme, I read... and performing live behind a laptop...in that case you'd need a guitarplayer, that would change things...
