Sufjan Stevens, 'Illinois', excellent album.

'Superwolf' by Bonnie Prince Billy & Matt Sweeney was also a keeper. Sigur Ros album very pleasing but perhaps not a real step forward for them.

Single? 'Helicopter' by Bloc Party was a great energetic chunk of pop.

Another vote for ILS Bohemia (with Goldfrapp snapping at his heels and also an honourable mention Ulrich Schnauss 'A Strangely Isolated Place' which I finally bought this year but it came out some time ago).

EDIT: I forgot the Harmonic33 album. Superb stuff!

Single: Pendulum Remix of Voodoo People. I like the Pendulum album, too. How very unfashionable.

My vote for album goes to Patrick Wolf and 'Wind In The Wires'.

Don't care much for singles, but I did take the 'I Feel Just Like A Child' (Devendra Banhart) promo single from XL, so I suppose I'll vote that.
