The different colored notes -> different MIDI channels doesn't seem to work correctly, and the DirectWave manual has at least one error.
Lots of new graphical stuff that I surely would prefer to live without - having a flashy and cool color-scheme is fine, even cool, but when you start getting into animation and colors fading... isn't that a little over the top for a sequencer?
DirectWave seems pretty cool, not quite as quick to work with as I had hoped, but I guess that depends on what you're expecting. I was thinking I would pick it up, since I don't have any samplers at all, but it lacks the feature-set to be able to handle conversions from other samplesets, so I think I'm going to be forced to pick up Kontakt 2
definitely a cool sampler, and it lets you record input... still thinking about it, it's just a little clunkier in a few ways than I'd like. It's also relatively buggy at the moment (not crashing-wise, just wrong-behavior wise).
Obviously it's still a great update because of the Mixer stuff, the new plugins, the different colored MIDI channel linkage (which doesn't seem to actually WORK as of yet), and small little additions (like holding Alt to temporarily turn off snap), but it's still the same old FL (haven't really gotten heavily into the new Mixer yet, just installed it on one of the other computers we have in the house, so no MIDI keyboard or VST's or anything).

rellik, i think sampleset conversion is coming in the official release. that's part of the reason version 6.0.0 isn't up on the FL site yet.

DirectWave wasn't ever marketed as something that could load your samplesets for you, but it was nice to think there might be an alternative to the big expensive ones
