Shit, it does say "VSTi 3.0"! Yep, that does it right there, guys. Hang your heads and move on...Kingston wrote:![]()
if one plans to do a hoax it would at least pay to do some research to make it believable. "VSTi 3.0".![]()
Borg just released 2.4 which is going to just fine for years to come. Also, that hoax document omits the one truly remarkable update a borg beta tester leaked to me.![]()
So keep dreaming, whoever of you refuse to believe it's not a hoax.

I'm old enough to remember the occasion back in the 60's when a guy put two spools of tape spaced out across the top of a TV, took a photo (and then had it developed & printed - those were the days) and sent it off to the "Tape Recorder" magazine, claiming to have invented the domestic video recorder - and they published it with excitement.
Of course as it was a monthly magazine, it was a month before readers got the admission it was a hoax.
At least these days, not much time passes before we hear the fun is over.
And now - back to our regular discussions.

To whoever doesn't believe how easy it was to spot as a fake, I dunno what to say. There were so many indicators that it's not even funny. Not the least significant of which is tricky to itemize, which is merely a general sense of style. I am an English teacher first, a book editor second, a document writer third, and a creative writer fourth (the priortizing of which explains why I'm such a crap creative writer.
).
When such a large portion of your life is dedicated to written language, these things become apparent and obvious. An exception recently was the Iran letter that I thought for sure was a fake, but amateur translation and perhaps even poor style in the original language might explain that. But for the most part, such things are easy to spot.
If you want itemization, I can go back through it later and point out all the inconsistencies that tipped me off right from my 1st post to this thread. It'll have to wait, though-- kids are filtering in.
(Ironically, to be taught French, though)

I don't care what you guys say; the fact that MIDI learn isn't mentioned at all means it could only have come from Steinberg
Actually I agree with Lunch Money; the viability of the features mentioned is debatable but there's no way that thing came out of a marketing department for "promo."

I'm not actually surprised at all how someone would go to such lenghts to get attention from the borg.tahome wrote:Very brave that MiL0 guy. But it certainly got their attention...

As a developer they are like the autistic kid, who does not (well, cannot) pay attention to the surroundings, or even react in any way to people.
It's sad really.
Nowadays, it's impossible to get any response from the Borg whatsoever regarding serious bugs (or for much else for that matter). They'll simply ignore everything.
