cubix is good for inspiration. drum and bass parts have a lot more to them than what comes out of those plugs. they're fun toysTime Control wrote:Damn. . .
I just feel bad for the makers of Cubix and Lunchbox. Those seemed like a lot of work not to mention the fantastic quality. Seems kinda weird to see some straight up synths steal the show. I think a lot of devs avoided the whole synth thing on purpose. Hopefully next year we don't see 31 VA Synths after these results.

1. Collide & Play (Luigi)

hey Frank..I voted for Collide for number one as well..as I thought it was pretty inovative. I hope Luigi does more stuff like that..and never even knew he was interested in algorithmic stuff!!
But..Congrates to all the winners. I thought it was a cool contest. I created a folder inside my VST folder called Dev contest, so I know where the plugs are

TnxDebutante wrote: 1. Reson8 - just badass!! and it made me throw out all but 1 of the resonator plugins I had. I thought he mentioned something about LFO'sAnyone doing electronic, especially ambient stuff, or pads is going to love this one... AND I haven't come across such a big conigurable resonator before. Who says SE plugins are no good??
Yea, i did mention maybe adding LFOs as well.
Am not sure tho if i will do that ( depends on the extra CPU usage and if it will really add something ).
I am busy tho with an update that will definitely make it even better, and more musical. More info will follow when it's all working as i want it

Congratulations for the winners and thanks for the contest!
Big up to all the innovative developers who did not win this time!
My favourites did not win, and I'm quite disappointed, but I can still use my favourites. The low voting activity and results are quite surprising tho
.
I voted Cubix, Lunchbox, Drum mic positioner, Reson8, Pondular and Drive5. Maybe. It's been some weeks already

1. Triple Cheese
2. Ritual
3. Lunchbox
4. Anna
5. Pushteq
Triple cheese kicks ASS! If you disagree, listen to:
http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/31/ ... esehop.mp3
30 or so seconds of breakbeat, except drums its 100% Triple Cheese!
Ritual is just ... so nice. Seriously. Nothing special about it at all. Just so nice.
Lunchbox is great fun. And it allows you to use your own samples. And bounce to wave. Great fun! can't wait for ASIO.
Anna is huge! And a CPU hog! But the sonic capabilities are amazing (its nearly an Albino killer, for free!).
And the Pushteq EQ just sounds good.
Congrats to everyone, thanks for doing this!
