Hi Hawk
I like it. I was looking for host can load Waves GTR and Maize has done this well.
In my setup Maize can't load "ValveTone '62". It's very basic plugin and build with pluggo dev system. I suspect Maize has problems with pluggo runtime but I didn't try another pluggo used vst yet.
Maize crashes sometimes when loading/deleting effects.
Maize audio engine stops for 5 to 10 seconds then continue to work. I can't figure out and reproduce this behavior but this happens sometimes.
And I've a feature request. Some vst plugins has no midi in pin. These plugins should be control via midi with some way??
Thanks again!

It's still very early for this host so naturally there are going to be some bugs. I'm sure Hawk will have this fixed soon. BTW he didn't mention this but there's a new beta of Maize Studio on the website.

the ValveTone '62 bug really exsits, the problem occurs once I refresh the editor of the plug-in. Haven't figure out how to fix it.kanobe wrote:Hi Hawk

About the parameter modulation feature request, I am planning to add this soon. It will be a addtional mapping box in the VST device.
Thanks, will never stop improving Maize Studio.

As this is becoming a sort of "Maize Studio" forum (in effect the real forum is in Chinese language) I'd like to submitt to Caoxiang (many thanks for the new beta version) two problems and some wishes:
PROBLEMS:
1) I have made a VST plugin that allows the total control of my Native Instruments B4-II VST from my keyboards (you can download it at
http://www.wikiupload.com/download_page.php?id=56382 );
whilst the B4 Controller (built up with SynthMaker and having an UI, even if very simple) works very well with all the hosts I use (VstHost, EnergyXt, etc.) and notwithstanding it is accepted by Maize Studio, the midi flow doesn't pass through it (no midi signal at the output) and I have to load also energyXT into Maize in order to use it. Why?
2) Everytime I try to load GOMP VST (http://www.guruone.biz/portal/) into Maize, it crashes.
WISHES:
1) possibility of renaming the "device views";
2) possibility of changing device view via Program Change or CCs messages (using the PC keyboard while playing is not very confortable);
3) possibility of overcoming the "one input to one output" limitation or, as an alternative, of saving and recalling different midi-matrix configurations.
I think it's enough for the moment
Thanks again, Caoxiang, for your wonderful work

You better change that quickly, almost all* modular hosts work in a way, that a pin is a bus/splitter. Nobody will use tons of mixer devices only for summing and mixer auxes for splitting.The manual wrote:4.3 Wiring
Hold the left button and drag from a pin to another. To delete a wire, you can either double click on a wired pin or just drag it out. Note: All audio pins are mono; one pin could be only connected with one wire; Can not wire on a same device...
*except aodix, but that was also one of the reasons this project was to be doomed. And Reason, but there is at least a "spider" device

Yes please for multiple connections to each pin. I like to experiment with paths this way.

I see: no changes on this issue in beta 3. Any comment from the developer?

Is there a way to run the clock for plugins that contain sequencers yet?

Thanks for your suggestions, I think this pin splitter will be featured in the future version. And now, you could use midi matrix and audio matrix device to implement that.Al Magnifico wrote:You better change that quickly, almost all* modular hosts work in a way, that a pin is a bus/splitter. Thanks for your wishes and problems. GOMP VST works fine now in beta3. But I can not download your VST. If possible, you can send me one via email. Working with it is fun, the new one is nice. I will work with it more this week, learning how to use it better now.
