Step by step, from a midi track with a VSTi on it, how did you record these VST parameters?Mighty Pea wrote:I had the same thing, recording from the track headers' little number box. It only recorded for one part, and when re-recording for the second bit (place playback-cursor at beginning of first unrecorded part, record again), the two would clash unless they were an entire bar apart. If they weren't, the first bit would sound very muffled. Very strange stuff.soma wrote:Sweet trip, I don't understand how you recorded vst parameter changes. I thought that XT is only recording CC's now.sweet_trip wrote:
recording automation from a numeric field only records on one of clips if several clips are lined up next to each other.
you can see a bigger pic here http://www.sweet-trip.net/automation.gif
if i wanted to record automation across all four clips in this pic, i would have to glue them together first...
PS I am unable to learn to the map any parameters from Atlatis.
I can't record VTS parameters yet, only the CC's that control them via a map.

assign a parameter for automation, hit record, move the numeric field off of XT2.

Ooh, good of you to share, piz. I've found myself wanting that functionality quite a few times already.

Yep, really ugly crash when trying to play a reversed stretched sample!
Had to restart my machine...
Edit:
And energyxt.ini was destroyed as it seems. All my settings got lost (no audio and midi input,
no projects-, clips-, samples- etc. folders anymore.)

Haha very funny...
In my audio editor even the object-bar doesn't display anymore if I choose 'Options'->'Show object-bar'.
It just displays some empty space instead!
This was the place where I used to reverse samples...
So therefore I too cannot reproduce it anymore.
Looks like Jorgen built in some date/time triggered stuff...
I've got to investigate further on this, maybe the reason is that my energyxt.ini
was destroyed after my last heavy crash that occurred just after trying to confirm
this nasty reverse stretched sample bug.
Edit:
Just read the post from Jens (Mon Jun 11, 2007 5:09 pm) in
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... e76d7e3b69
So this well explains the empty object-bar.
Guess I did it differently the last time I tried...

loading more than one sample in a clip makes it easier to get the bar showing stuff again
so i suppose we should add to this thread that its hard to get the stretch & reverse options to show when there is only 1 sample in a audio clip)

If you add a lane for Pan while a sample is selected, the object bar comes up.
Worked for me with volume once too. But also didn't once.
Edit: if you unselect the sample, you will need to add another lane next time to get the object bar back

I'm not even trying to reproduce any audio-part related bugs anymore in this beta,
because by now Jorgen should definively know that there is still a lot to do...
It doesn't really make sense to invest time into something that obviously is not even half-baked.

Quite the opposite, I must say, as it does make perfect sense : it's called beta-testing.kirtap910 wrote:It doesn't really make sense to invest time into something that obviously is not even half-baked.
But having tried the new eXT these few days, I think too that releasing it on friday in its current stage and labeled as "Ze Real Thing" would be a weird marketing move.
Wait and see. In Jorgen we trust.
