Downloaded, installed, and played around with. Cool that you have new ways to route to efx. Probably will make my life even more difficult - more choices...BAH! Now I'll prolong getting anything done even longer [:)]
Some changes to the GUI, which will take a little study to find your stuff again, but they were pretty minimal changes.
The CSReverb sounds good on some stuff. It's nice to have another choice in here, though only being able to set the "time" and the "wet/dry" doesn't give this one a lot of breadth - yeah I know, there was a certain compressor that only had two knobs...I found that the regular built-in reverb sounded better on percussion and drums than the CSReverb, however. Things like choirs, strings, piano, sound good in the new one, though.
That's all I have to report for now...no "accidental" fix of the mouse wheel in Sonar, fwiw. I'll post over on the CW site and see if anyone has any ideas from that side.

thank's sleepless. I had an old desktop 2.2 icon and a new 2.5 icon in my apps folder, and could not figure out why they were exactly the same.
the 2.5 update overwrites 2.2 but does not change the icon.
my head is spinning

Got it downloading now.
Any idea if IK will post a few complimentary patches from the upcoming products (Samplemoog, Sampletron, Stuiophonik) like they have with Miroslav & some of the other products? Yeah, I know I'm greedy...

you're welcome
But if you look in the OS X upper menu bar after launching ST2.5, you'll see... Sampletank 2.2 !
Some IK trick ?

Just to be clear, like updating to 2.2 when opening sessions made with 2.1 they would open WITHOUT any instruments/sounds loaded. Will this happen again going to 2.5?
I think more than a few of us were caught off guard with that one.

Hi, I've made the update to 2.5, and I've just loaded a old project using ST2.2.
Each sound is in its place
Not to forget that I've opened the standalone version before, checked that the path was the good one to my library and have done a Relist...
(I'm using Mac, OS 10.4.9, Logic 7.4.2)

this is incredibly great update. the only thing i've noticed is disk loading time is a tad slower. but for the added functionality it is a small price to pay. it might only be on initial load that it's slow too, can't tell yet.
all my 2.2 sounds work great, including combis
also it seems that the old multifx works as well though since i've not a lot of experience with those (the ones on the users page i'm referring to the Free MultiFX) i can't be sure.
has anyone experienced increased disk loading times though?
loving the new multis that come as factory defaults. very high quality work there.
this is really a great free update. thank you very much IK! and thank you squidz for the heads up...

That would be from Sonic Reality since we did the samples for those three products. The answer is that no it won't be for free and included with the product. The good news is that we are making a "Bonus Disc" that you can buy (or anyone who buys ST2.5 new from www.esoundz.com can get it for free during the launch) and it will have some sounds from a variety of released and previously unreleased SampleTank 2 sounds including a few from those to get a sneak peak taste. The bonus disc will only be $99 and will have a lot of nice stuff on it. It will also be downloadable! (if you have a fast connection)DocAtlas wrote:Got it downloading now.Any idea if IK will post a few complimentary patches from the upcoming products (Samplemoog, Sampletron, Stuiophonik) like they have with Miroslav & some of the other products? That sounds interesting. How long will the bonus disk be available? With contract negotiations at work looming on the horizon, I'm loathe to spend any money I don't absolutely have to right now. But I really want to pick up all the ST compatible sounds I can.Squids wrote: That would be from Sonic Reality since we did the samples for those three products. We're doing it for the launch of SampleTank 2.5 so at least a month or two.DocAtlas wrote:That sounds interesting. How long will the bonus disk be available? I really like ST 2.5. Had a ball last night playing around with the new Combis. Takes a bit of getting used to--the second you release the cursor on the Combi name, it automatically loads.
Before I realized how to control this, I kept loading (by accident) the same combi over and over.
Really great stuff there. Some of the guitar combis have an amazing sound. Like getting a whole new synth.
A while back (a long while back), there was some discussion about Esoundz establishing a patch exchange for FX and Combis for SS2 and ST2.x. Is there any chance that this could become a reality for Esoundz members? In addition to driving traffic to the site, it would save you (Squids) the trouble of coming up with 'bonus Combi' downloads all by yourself. This would, of course, leave you with more time to dream up creative Group Buys...
Cheers
