Um... The Mouth..?
http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/ ... the-mouth/
Why does this tool get overlooked in almost every one of these threads?
It is by far and away the best vocal>midi tool Ive seen. It is in fact the only one I have ever seen that is so very close to useful.

The mouth definitely does midi output, the only download available is the manual and perhaps some video.

Talks of snapping to scale, that's not good, obviously tweaked for vocals, but what of different instruments?

Without a demo there's not bound to be much of a buzz.

Ah, didnt think of that. I remember it being real cheap though. I think there was a sale when it came out.

I only have really used it with vox and its damn fun, once its dialed in. Singing bass like in the video. I have played around with other sources, but really its the vocal stuff I find interesting. Tweaking it to catch a quieter/subtler voice is a little trickier than a just preset, but I kind of imagine it might work better with instruments that are loud with quick attack/decay. There is a 'drum loop' kinda mode. And it you can turn off the 'auto tune'.
Im not really a power user. Every once in a while I get high and sing into it and make weird bass and fx. Its pretty fun. It is not just a frustrating and disappointing proof-of-concept type of thing like most of the other wav>midi I have tried felt like. Its simple and not at all hard to get something out of.
I am now a little curious what it cost though. Because for sure it has never been used in anything 'real'. Literally a toy, for me. Probably worth it. :P

Sounds cool, I think it currently sells for $79. Most guitarists are going to go for Sonuus.
