Win9x platform / AthlonXP CPU :

I can't get any sound out of Alieno.

Cantabile crashes in GCC DADSR.SEM with KX Modulad (both versions, SSE and non SSE).

Compressive won't load in any host I tried it in, with error messages : "exception in main function" for pro and "exception in main function midiviz" for lite.

I had some weirdness w/Acrobatics Alieno.

Works normally in Reaper, I press record and no sound unless I choose a totally new patch. And it doesn't always do this.

??? Cantabile... I didn't test this host.

I tested the Kx-modulad on win98 with an Athlon xp 2000 and Asio4all 2.8 with 512 mo.

Energy Xt, FL6, Fl7, Orion 7, Cubasis, vst host...

no problems !!

Win98 support is a bonus...

bini : looks like the initial patches got lost along the way... (oops)

No matter, they're included in the zip. Just click File, 'load all programs' then locate the bini_patches.txt You'll then have 16 glorious reasons why bini is your new best friend. Or not. ;)

Yes, SSE SSE2 is required BUT not just for Athlon, you can have also Pentium at it goez! :)
Buon giorno, Acrobat!
You don't know just how lang I have been waiting for something with that kind of GUI? INow that I got I could sit for hours just looking at it.
It would be even more faszinating if I could hear it, though :?: :help:
I'm on Cubase SX, I can even see the CPU-meter react when I trigger Alieno. But I just don't get no sound (same on VST Host/SAVI Host).
To my knowledge (and google's), my AMD Athlon XP 2600+ is SSE/SSE2-compliant. So that seems to be no issue here. Any suggestions?

btw: I bow to all of you DEVs in praise of the efforts you've put into this jam. May the force be with ya'all. :hail:
thanks for appreciation taiwanizer, and..ehm..sorry for the issue.. I tested on FL7 and SX2, are you on SX3?

Ok, both seem to be working now within XT2. So far so good.

IFF Synth crashes Ableton Live 6. I get the typical "Live has encountered a serious issue and needs to close down" error box. I run Win XP SP2 - it's a shame because it looks like a great plug :(.

I had that today while triggering it with SmartElectronix midi drum sequencer plugin, then I chose a new patch, loaded the samples first THEN did the drum sequencing, and it worked normally.

Actually, several of the SE plugins show up as "Container" in Bidule. I don't have the details right here, because I'm not at my music-making machines.

I've seen this before. Info for developers new to SE: Bidule organises its plugin menus via manufacturer name and plugin name. So, to make your SE plugin stand out, you need make sure both of these are defined. If the manufacturer name isn't defined, you'll be listed under "Synthedit" or "www.synthedit.com" (don't remember the exact details, but it's something generic like that). If the plugin name isn't defined, it seems to default to "Container". Since I haven't used Synthedit, I can't tell you how to set these names, but the fact that the more polished SE plugins are identified correctly means it must be able to be done somewhere.

Yes, it's only cosmetic, but impressions count. And it can get difficult trying and testing plugins if they appear to have the same name in the menu.

Edit: Just to be clear since there's some confusion, I'm only commenting on IFF Synth and the other SE plugins that appear as container. I didn't have the same problems as ZombyWoof with Alieno. Alieno runs fine for me.

I've encountered this problem with my own plugins awhile back when I used to use Bidule. If I remember right I think Bidule gets it's plugin names from the title on the actual container and not the product name when you save as vst. Just make sure the container is named properly, otherwise it will show up as 'container' in Bidule.

I can't unzip some of the files. Rastabox, Wavtransit, The Element of Surprise and Xoxos' stuff all unzipped perfectly, but SuperRiffGuitar, Oddy Free and Flicker won't open. I've tried WinRar and 7-Zip but both say the files are corrupted. Any suggestions?
