is this true?
No it isn't true. Word on THIS street is that they are shipping out in order of received orders starting late this week. So, I don't know where that info came from but it isn't correct. It's shipping now in October.

Also taken off pre-order on esoundz where you get 50 exclusive additional patches:

Thanks Trix. This one was a real combined effort between Sonic Reality and IK Multimedia sound programmers.

Hi Squids,
I just tested the demo version of the SampleMoog.
The sound is fantastic. I think I will buy it soon. :-)
I think an additional analog style sequencer would be great in the next version.
I hope the next thing from you is SampleARP and SampleOberheim.
Any chance for it?

As a plug-in I don't think we're doing a SampleArp (although there IS a SampleTron coming). But, on www.esoundz.com we're going to be offering individually every synth known to man (including tons of Arps and Oberheims) and it will be in SampleTank, Reason, Kontakt and other formats. So hopefully that will be even better!

Just got back from a mini-vacation and had a chance to check out the SampleMoog demo. Very impressive. Plays just like I remember the real thing--though that was a long time ago.

Nice sounds, as expected. But the key, I think is the playability. Mod wheel and bend are really expressive. Made me feel like Herbie Hancock... :hihi:

Not as yet. My order is still showing on esoundz as 'new' so I'm guessing they haven't shipped yet.

Post

I hope you can ship faster than those lazy guys at IK Mulitmedia! It's been 3 weeks since I've been waiting for my copy!

Play what you feel and feel what you play.

Tonight, I went to an IK product demo at the Guitar Center in Atlanta. The product specialist's name is Derrick Floyd. Everything sounded good, but SampleMoog stole the show!

I did answer in this thread (at the time I didn't know) and the answer anyway is yes!

I wanted to confirm this by trying out the demo-version but all the sounds that came with it seem to have high-note-priority on the keyboard. Compared to other synths lika Pro53, Minimonsta etc the Samplemoog patches don't behave the same when it comes to which order the keys are released in (using portamento). Was it just bad luck that all demo-patches were like this or are they all the same?

I really need to know before buying Sample Moog, because no matter how much I love these sounds, the way Sampletank handles portamento-playing drives me mad.

It handles portamento differently than SampleTank. It is meant to mimick the Moog. But... the demo version of SampleMoog (not Smoog sounds in ST but the Smoog demo itself) SHOULD work this way. If you don't like THAT then you probably won't like SampleMoog itself on that issue. Tough call. I don't want you to be disappointed. On the other hand if you want samples of almost every Moog synth in existence and you factor in the current promo where you'd get SampleTron for FREE if you purchase SampleMoog then I don't see how ANYONE could be disappointed. But it all depends... each person is different. I love it myself but then again of course I would! ;) I sampled all of it.

When you put it like that, who could possibly resist? :D When writing my last comment/question, I wasn't aware of the fact that you could have this great deal without having to buy the AT-stuff. I'm definitively getting the moog/tron-bundle and I'm sure your superb samples will make me forget about any akward portamento-experiences in ST.

Thanks

/Anders
