Kore has overlapping functions in common with Reason's Combinator, but they're two very different animals.
At it's simplest, you can label both as chainer applications, but the similarities beyond that end.

After you chose your driver, did you select your outputs in the routing tab in audio/MIDI settings?S-N-S wrote:ok i got it installed and activated, but i simply cant get no sound out of this,i have tried choosing directsound,asio4all but cant get any sound at all

i have tried a few times but have given up.
but not sure why i need this as i have a few NI plugins aready. surly the sounds in this kore player can be reproduced in the respective instruments Absynth, battery, reaktor
So kore player is amied at people who dont own NI synths?
correct me if im wrong please. I just dont see the purpose of this instrument.

use a download managerD-Fusion wrote:I finally gave up
It was impossible to download.
I used flashget with 3 stream/jobs and it came down at 72Kb/s with no problems.. not incredible speeds but enough to get it down in just a bit over an hour.. set the manager up before bed and let it run over night..
I was expecting this to be a waste but I actually like it.. very usable sounds.. I like the drum kits.. all is very nice.. not amazing.. but nice in my book.

I don't think a download manager is going to help much for some of us. I've tried a few including Free Download Manager. It retries every 5 seconds but always comes back with an "unknown network error", and ultimately gives up. I'm lucky to even get to the actual download page.

i bought the "Best of Massive" soundpack and imo it's brilliant!
fat basse, shiny pads and lot's of useful stuff!
Kore Player is really a great toy, if you need/want a "Preset-Machine"!
if you want to tweak your sounds, buy the single VSTs!

Downloaded it on Sunday at ca 25K. Took a few hours, but the player is great. Some good sounds, some usable sounds, some dull sounds. Something to play with while waiting for my Kontakt to arrive.

i havent informed myself too much about Kore, but i think you can integrate your own presets aswell, so its not necessarily a (factory) preset machineKore Player is really a great toy, if you need/want a "Preset-Machine"!

downloaded the demo a few minutes ago and wouldnt mind buying it at some point if they also offered a software only solution, since i do not have any more space left for this controller

The Kore player is a preset machine, true. Kore itself is far from it, though.Lossl wrote:i havent informed myself too much about Kore, but i think you can integrate your own presets aswell, so its not necessarily a (factory) preset machineKore Player is really a great toy, if you need/want a "Preset-Machine"!

You'll be doing without, then. From what I know (and I would know if it weren't the case), there's absolutely no plans to release a software only version in the forseeable future.downloaded the demo a few minutes ago and wouldnt mind buying it at some point if they also offered a software only solution, since i do not have any more space left for this controller

I managed to download this yesterday, slowly, but I got it on the first try.
I thought I'd hold of on using it till I checked this thread to make sure no one is having any problems with it before installing
Lookin' good....
NI noobs, be sure to start up the standalone version FIRST to set the audio/MIDI settings before you fire up the VST of it.
I'm glad that NI is finally doing a freebie. Good way to spread the word.
