Also the names are not the same at all. That's why i think some of them, made the extra effort to stop Antress. I could be wrong, though

I don't think they would bother if the plugs were horrible.

I was looking forward to testing these in a project of mine, but the GUI does not work for me in Cubase SL3 or in FLS 8 (just an empty box appears where the plugin should be). Hoping that there is another update soon. I just downloaded the .rar file and stuck it in my VST directory. This was the correct way to install, right?

no, you need to unrar it first and then put it in the directory

Yes I've had the same bug in Cubase SX3.1 . I also have the same bug with Bootsie's pluginsZAZAS wrote:Oh, yes of course. Sorry to give that impression. I unpacked them and then stuck them in the VST directory. Seems others have experienced this GUI bug?

Thus it is a Synthmaker-bug.dickiefunk wrote:Yes I've had the same bug in Cubase SX3.1 . I also have the same bug with Bootsie's pluginsZAZAS wrote:Oh, yes of course. Sorry to give that impression. I unpacked them and then stuck them in the VST directory. Seems others have experienced this GUI bug?

It's strange- doesn't SynthMaker come with FL8? You'd think SynthMaker plugins would work in FL... I've had problems with the Antress plugins, and Bootsie's plugins, but use Thomas Weber's SynthMaker Kickdrum in tracks every day.

What other plugins are you using in the same project?Cordelia wrote:It's strange- doesn't SynthMaker come with FL8? You'd think SynthMaker plugins would work in FL... I've had problems with the Antress plugins, and Bootsie's plugins, but use Thomas Weber's SynthMaker Kickdrum in tracks every day.
What other plugins do you have on your hard-drive?
I've noticed this bug only happens on occasions so I'm thinking it's a software clash.

Well for me, I am running Cubase SL3 and when I was attempting to try out the Antress stuff the only other instruments that I had running was Kontact and Battery. I think that I may have had FLS 8 running as a VST as well.
I'm not sure that it is a Synthmaker bug. I've used other Synthmaker instruments without any issues. I've even created a few of my own and have not had any problems (besides high CPU usage). Synthmaker made it pretty simple for me to put together a GUI, but I didn't have VU meters and the like on my creations.
If the developer is listening - please have a look! We'd like to share in the joy of free plugins!

Is there any chance to get a manual to the plugs?

Manuals would be nice.

The problem is: I think, they are copies of older hardware. So as I do not know how a pultec equalizer works, I do not really know how to use the ModernBlackDragen, for example.
So it would be nice if someone could write manuals.

no, they're not ... they only look like this ... not that their bad though ...Tillenburg wrote:The problem is: I think, they are copies of older hardware.
really, just tweak the knobs and listen, you'll get it then pretty fast ... they're easy ...Tillenburg wrote:So as I do not know how a pultec equalizer works, I do not really know how to use the ModernBlackDragen, for example.

Thanks, Antress! I for one really appreciate your work and encourage you to keep going. I look forward to every release!
BTW - whatever happened to the guitar am/cabinet plug-in you were developing?

I dont agree. Some are not. Its not only to listen, but I want to understand and analyse what happens and why sometimes nothing happens.brok landers wrote:really, just tweak the knobs and listen, you'll get it then pretty fast ... they're easy ...
So, a manual would be a great help!
