i am a bit paranoia
i am not much of a book keeper .... and i am chaotic as f**k
when using credit cards and stuff i have to check my financial data frequently
remember - loads of muso`s live a junk life (atleast i do) and do only make music .... do no dishes no laundry and don`t keep a checkbook

i will send the card next month :D
without the 20 euro
i think just a card is a better deal anyway

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!!!

I've just played with the demo, and this is something I've wanted for ages, a decent VSTi midi 303 emulator emulator.

I'll order ASAP!!!

On a personal level, I'm pretty happy in general with online shopping. If you're running a modern browser with 128-bit encryption and know that you're dealing with a huge company like Worldpay I would have thought there's nothing to fear really. I worry about why the waitress needs to disappear in back for ten minutes with my credit card in a restaurant much much more.

I should also mention that if ever one of our servers or machines here at Muon is ever compromised or stolen, there's no personal data about your credit card stored here either. Worldpay don't share that information with us, all the transaction processing is done entirely in their own secure environment.

Hope that helps.

Yes....a complete bargain 8)

Infact, the price is so low (didn't want to say cheap) for what you are getting we might buy two :D

estimated time for delivery please!!!!!
If you order before midnight UK time, we guarantee a 72-hour turnaround starting from midnight on that day.

In practice, nobody actually waits as long as that unless there's a problem somewhere in the system or with their order. People most likely to be affected by problems are people who've not filled out the online form properly, credit cards that cause a warning flag on our system or people with hotmail-type accounts that aren't actually big enough to receive the product file in. That's got to be the #1 problem in fact. Please folks, if you're thinking of buying something that's going to be delivered by email from us, make sure your email is all working properly, you key in your email address correctly and that you have at least 2mb of space free in your account.

Kind regards
Dave

About the crackles someone mentioned, this plug (like a few others I know of like Oddity) has quite a high output level at some settings, are you sure its not just clipping in your host? If so drop the level on the T2 channels a bit and see if it still does it.

Just a thought.

I'm one of the beta tester.
The one who wrote : "I tried to create a sequence with accented then sliding down note : it sounds just like my original silver box ! Really impressive !"
I was also beta tester for Rebirth & Reason (all versions).
I run the Computer Controlled unofficial TB-303 website (which still need update btw) and of course own original Tb-303s.

I'm a 303 purist and always compare soft & hard clones to the real machine and since the first software emulations I always tried to find the gap between the original box and the modeled one.

Let me say that I was quite impressed by how the Tau mk2 controls interact on the sound. And if the filter goes a bit higher than the real silver box, I think Tau2 is today the most efficient 303 emulation available as VSTi.

Bass reponse and accent velocity is really effective on low notes with both filter cutoff and resonance at minimum levels, a feature lacking in most software and even hardware emulations.
Slide is smooth and well designed over accented/non accented notes. And having two control over accent is def. a damn funky feature (esp. with the threshold which enable different accent feelings with the exact same pattern).

Add echo and distortion to the Tau2, a midi controller, and voilà : instant acid madness under your fingers ! Try sequencing slow acid sweeps or basslines at 70 bpm and you'll realize how close comes the sound from the original 303.

The only missing stuff is the pattern bank : it would be nice to save 16 steps patterns together with patches for realtime pattern switching... but that's not a primary spot as a VSTi.

If you need an efficient 303 emulation which really make its place within a mix, then go for Tau2, it's easy and intuitive and produce a rich and fat sound.

Easymode, you had a personal invitation from me to join the beta test, which you turned down. I just can't figure you out - why is it preferable to you to sit firing little potshots from the sidelines now when you had a chance to show us how it should have been done :?

As I've said, if anyone out there can show us, with a sample or two, where the sound of Tau2 is wrong compared to a real 303, we'll get right to work to fix the problem. We can't model stuff based on hot air though - if you want your comments to be taken seriously this is the best and most constructive way to express your criticisms. Anything else might be construed as just trolling.

Now, if this is getting too stressful for any KVR regulars who know how threads like this inevitably end up  I'll post up some pictures of kittens later. We know you like kittens :D

Kind Regards
Dave

id leave it dave...it seems to me he just wants to force people into believing that that other sample based 303 thing is better...end of story..sure comes across a bit 'odd'...

im sure you dont want this to go the way of the other threads...
none

I don't think that's what it is about at all. However, what you said brought the other thread to mind rather too strongly, so I think it's for the best just to close this one down. After all, I can't have every topic I contribute descending into a flame war :D

If anyone has any further questions regarding Tau2 please mail us at tau2@muon-software.com

Kind regards + many thanks to all those who contributed. Tau2 is already an incredible success sales-wise and I hope you'll all enjoy using it.
